2/10 because 2 expensive for what you get.

There are only a handful of new items added to this pack, and the majority added are some random posters for the kitchen (although some are cute). There aren't many new hairstyles or clothes (at least for men; haven't checked the women's yet, but I don't really go into extreme detail when making my sims).

I'll start off by talking about the good stuff: the ice cream maker. The ice cream maker is pretty neat and if you have a sim at level 10 cooking, he or she can make a plethora of ice cream/gelato flavors. Some of the ice creams (usually higher level ice creams) have some pretty neat temporary effects and it's fun to experiment with them at parties. But honestly that is the only good thing I can say about this pack.

Everything else is more or less a disappointment. First off, you cannot keep your ice cream in the freezer or fridge, which is not realistic at all. Doesn't everyone keep ice cream in their freezer? This honestly needs to be fixed in an update or something. When making ice cream, you can only keep it on the counter after taking it out of your sims inventory, and it's basically a countdown until the ice cream spoils. The lack of content is also very disappointing. For something to be considered "Cool KITCHEN Stuff," there isn't much kitchen stuff. They only added ONE new fridge and ONE new oven and ONE new countertop. Honestly, when I think about kitchen, I don't know about you, but I think of fridges, ovens, and countertops. If that's not disappointing enough, the stats on these newly added items are horrendous. They are only about a 5 in food quality and 4 on reliability. There are better fridges and ovens in the BASE GAME. If I pay $10 for a kitchen pack, I'd like to see unbreakable items with high food quality (especially since there are some already included in the base game.. but a nicer selection would be awesome). And if that's not bad enough, the only fridge added is nearly identical in looks to one already given by the base game just with worse stats (and more colors). They also gave us a dishwasher for free in an update just before the DLC was released, but they didn't add any new dishwashers or trash compactors with the new DLC.

Now overall, the new items are decent, and the ice cream is fun, but this add on is not worth $10 of your hard-earned dollars. I might've given this a higher rating if it had just been a free update, because that is what this pack ultimately felt like. It's about as bad as the Luxury Party Pack. So far, the only good SP is Perfect Patio Stuff.. TS needs to drastically improve the amount of content in these Stuff Packs.

Most games allow you to download more content than this for free. This only adds a few, largely useless, objects- a few of which are bugged and broken- that don't even look in place. I am thoroughly convinced that Maxis just has fans make objects and then sells them. NO professional quality to be expected here. Expand
