It's so exciting to see Clementine growing up and guiding another child just like what Lee used to do. The ending is depressing but with an amazing twist. If you love the series and care about the destiny of Clementine, you can't miss it.

A brilliant and satisfying conclusion to The Walking Dead: The Final Season, and to the franchise as a whole. Take Us Back explores evocative themes while having emotionally impactful moments as you experience the end of Clementine's journey.

Despite some flaws on the second and third episodes, The Walking Dead : The Finale Season is the ending season all fan could wish for, with many great narrative choices and a message of hope very welcomed in such a game.

Telltale’s The Walking Dead might not have invented this style of meaningful narrative adventure, but it certainly popularised it. It is tragic that its popularity led the studio’s leaders to run it into the ground, badly overstretching its staff on endless similar projects from Batman to Borderlands to Minecraft. The circumstances of this final ending are disappointing and unfair. But if The Walking Dead has taught us anything, it’s that things don’t always end well.

We conclude with great sadness this saga alongside Clementine. Even if it is quite short, the episode still offers us a great deal of emotion and action. Produced in the same manner as the previous episodes, it still brings some innovations and does not simply end the adventure softly. AJ takes off for the worse and for the better.

A solid ending, a bit rushed, but beautifully written. It doesn’t manage to get away from the bite of the same old formula and technical issues, which tarnish the final result of the game.

An otherwise strong season drops the ball at the death. Clementine deserved better.

The voice acting... the story rich of it and the way it was able to have you the player actually care for the characters is truly wonderful. It was a pleasure to play this game and the flash back with Lee was beautiful.

This game is definitely one of those games that will never have anything like it. Sure I've had an amazing story rich experience in games like Mass effect, beyond two souls and the last of us but they're all unique in their own way.

The whole telltale walking dead Clementine series was worth every penny so thank you very much to the developers for bringing this story to us. This game was so damn beautiful and really speaks to the care and love of human beings. THANK YOU

Clementine became our ownIn spite of my 6-year old love of the TWD universe, it can surely be said that the game deserves its final. Clementine became our own daughter/friend during the past years, we've seen her in good and bad days, gone through lots of difficult choices and situations, seems like there is nothing more to say, yet it makes me feel sad to say goodbye, but it is the only word suitable, I suppose.
I hope some of the Clementine, Lee, Kenny or Xavier creators is reading this, and the only thing I can say is a thank you)

Here we arrive at the end of Clementine's story, where she is accompanied by AJ, who she has raised since his birth, and is essentially like her adopted son. It's great to see these two characters still sticking it out to the end after the late half of Season 2, and the chemistry between them is fun.
    MECHANICS
    - This game has changed a LOT of what Telltale is known for. Everything you say or do in front of AJ will transform him, directly, and it will impact how you play this game. You can't choose to constantly be silent, because it will bite you in the rear. AJ is like an actual child in real life; easy influential with what you say and do. After realizing this, I had to remind myself to stay careful of any decision I made if he was in the picture.
    - The combat is also revamped, and it is no longer to dull and boring quick time events strictly as the other games, now you have a two-step combat system: you walk up to a walker, stun them, and then kill them, or you can kill them and risk being attacked simultaneously by another walker mid-animation. It is simple, but it's refreshing to see Telltale not focus on quick time events now. I will admit though, regardless of how unengaging it is, it's quite fun to trap a zombie after making him chase you in a circle sometimes.
    STORY/CHARACTERS
    - The entire first episode was great in pacing-- it never felt too slow, never felt like it was moving too fast.
It spent the right amount of time shedding light on every character you needed to know about, and it was good at having you like these characters as well.
    LENGTH
    - The episode took me roughly two and a half hours with one ten minute break. It is a VERY long first episode, probably the lengthiest one Telltale has ever made for any game, and again-- it didn't feel stretched out. By the time the game has you comfortable near the end, a certain event happens that will remain unmentioned and it makes you feel very uncomfortable and nervous.
    OVERALL THOUGHTS
    - With this being the first episode, which is normally the worst in a Telltale game, I have to admit that after playing it, I am HYPED for the rest of the season. I'm wondering how much better the episodes can get after this one, and the cliffhanger was insane. I can't wait until September, and I hear there are rumors a certain someone is coming back from season one!
Can't wait to update my review for The Walking Dead: The Final Season - Episode 2: Suffer the Children!
