Jul 6, 2013SlipW That was just brilliant! :D
But really! this game is really an insult/disgrace to R6 name...
Why I won't give it 0 is because I remember my friend and I got some FEW hours of playing together... -

MickMar 5, 2006Yet another sterling example of style over any sort of substance. No wonder the slack jawed mouth breathers are giving it such high numbers. No mission planning, completely linear levels and apparently programmed without any AI at all. What a pathetic joke this game is.

JamesT.Mar 9, 2006Simply the worst game I have played in a LONG TIME. Just not up to the standards of the brand.

s10wabs10wabApr 8, 2006A game that may have been quite acceptable 5 years ago - today this is a disgrace - a blatent misuse of what was a good franchise. In no way should anybody waist good money on this game. Buy SWAT 4 or just replay your old classics just not this game.

PaulB.Feb 16, 2006This game is a total Joke. The A.I is no where near as good as any of the old games.

ThomasF.Feb 19, 2006Single player and co-op modes are the best aspect of this game but compared to past r6 games, even they are mediocre. Adversarial multiplayer is a joke. Terrible game.

JerryO.Feb 19, 2006I give this game a 1, only because there are worse games out there, on the market. The sad fact is that this game does not deserve the Rainbow 6 branding, It may have been an alright game for a new series, but it does not belong in the R6 family. I expect the sales of R6 3:Raven Shield to steadily grow again, as that game is far better than LD could ever hope to be.

RonJ.Feb 24, 2006No true rainbow six fans would like this game. Console port, buggy and poorly designed.

ErikE.Jan 21, 2006While not a total disaster, Lockdown feels too mechanical, exhibits too many ugly textures and doesn't use the Source Engine's features enough to warrant much interest.

JustinJ.Feb 17, 2006i agree with the yahoo review. do yourself a favour install ravenshield this game is a DUD! what were the developers thinking, do yourselves a favour and get a new line of work. youve done enough damage to the franchise.

RyanW.Mar 25, 2006Very bad. horrible recoil. ohh wait, when Ii played it had no recoil, only crosshair spread... an insult to the R6 name. This is not tactical at all. Atleast the halo fanboys like it.

Nov 14, 2011Absolutely terrible, I don't even know why they even made this crap. Yes, trust me, crap, don't know what it is. And AI is dumb as hell, they tried to flash the room but eventually flash themselves, and me. What the heck is that?? Don't bother this rubbish, please.
-
May 12, 2020Horribly average, but immediately is knocked down with a stupid 90's sexist, misogynist cutscene of some pervert staring at, and making comments about a woman team members' butt while in a ventilation system.
Red Storm disbanding seriously hurt this franchise.

It's another throwaway shooter with bad AI, forgettable single player levels, and glib unremarkable multiplayer options. Here lies Rainbow Six. Rest in peace, while we go reinstall "Raven Shield."
-
Lockdown got rid of everything that made its predecessors stand out and kept the bad A.I. and even worse backstories. Even without the burden of living up to its predecessors, Lockdown is -- at best -- a generic shooter with pretensions at realism.
-
Lockdown for the PC is more tactical than the console versions and definitely a lot of fun, but it's still got a noticeable arcade flavor.
