    After some missteps in later incarnations, the remaster of THPS 1+2 returns the game to its strong roots, providing the addictive mixture of challenge and fun that will keep people coming back to shred for a long time.

    The biggest point of praise for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2 is that you just end up wanting more of it. For the first time in forever, the series not only feels back on track, but is being executed with the proficiency that it absolutely deserves. There are things to quibble about, but these are small when placed next to the overwhelming amount that soars like Superman. Vicarious Visions is no pretender. They have raised the dead.

    Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 is a very good remaster of the original games, and brings a bit of new content, better graphics, and the awesome gameplay that's been loved for years. Pepper the lot with online multiplayer, and you've got one of the best arcade games of the year.

    The one and only tangible addition to the studio is a rather messy and cumbersome experience and challenge system that won't get you much except cosmetic items in the hundreds. The pleasure and the sensations are there. But it would have taken a little more to make an impression.

    Great game, classic mechanics, upgraded visuals. Nostalgia fest. I wish it was on Steam, but that is what it is.

    This is exactly what a remake should be. Period. They made all the right changes and updated everything without compromising the original.

    The only thing the game have in common with skateboarding is the inclusion of a few pro skaters.. and skateboards that take the role of the stampeding RC-car.

    It's a game that were mildly amusing 20 years ago.. and now looks quite damn good, while feeling insanely old. (like me)
    Half of the tricks looks like crap still.. not sure if they used the old ones to get the retro feel, or if they are just incompetent.
    Yes I finished the game enough to get to use the idiot Jack Black.. and by that time I already felt quite finished with the game.
    The soundtrack haven't aged well either i had to turn every damn song off after hearing them all.

    If I got value for the money? Maybe.. as I spent quite some time trying to find what used to be fun.. but didn't find it.    … Expand
