"For the price-point of this DLC, it is hard to fault the amount of content offered up. This is most definitely the template for The Creative Assembly to continue forward with when it comes to future DLC for Total War: Three Kingdoms. The overarching conflict is an intriguing one, and the presence of the mysterious Yellow Turban faction really freshen things up in the campaign side. On top of the six new factions, the DLC also renews the interest in some of the existing warlords, with the ability to experience them under completely different circumstances than previously. This isn't a DLC for gameplay additions, but the play style adjustments in the campaign to the core gameplay loop do enough to keep things interesting." ... Read full review

"Mandate of Heaven is an essential part of the Three Kingdoms package, and takes what was already the best grand strategy game on the market, and takes it to loftier heights. There is now so much rewarding complexity to it, that I don’t know that I can return as readily to older games in the series as they seem relatively simple by comparison." ... Read full review

"If you have already finished the base game, Mandate of Heaven is a fantastic way to go back playing. The DLC surprises witch new mechanics, adds over ten hours of brand new gameplay experience and makes each playthrough of the main campaign unique. [03/2020, p.74]"

"Mandate of Heaven is a strong DLC for Total War: Three Kingdoms, offering a selection of new mechanics for particular factions, a host of new units and a brand new scenario for you to begin with, one that seamlessly fits in with the rest of the game. There are a few issues that have been exasperated, such as diplomacy and the AI can't seem to handle the new mechanics well, but overall the DLC is still well worth picking up as for the most part, it offers even more engaging stories that allow for emergent gameplay and just more of Total War: Three Kingdoms, one of the best strategy games ever made." ... "Total War: Three Kingdoms - Mandate of Heaven presents a massive conflict and an evolving sandbox campaign, with several features and events to keep you entertained. Sadly, it's also bogged down by its reliance on older concepts that lack strategic depth, glaring bugs, as well as missed opportunities. Though you could expect to log in the extra hours, it becomes repetitious to a fault once the rebellion has been quashed." ... Read full review

I used to be a power gamer, but never happened to me to fall in love with any other game like this. Graphics and combat are beautiful,I used to be a power gamer, but never happened to me to fall in love with any other game like this. Graphics and combat are beautiful, landscape as well. And let's not talk about re-playability. Almost everything it's just perfect, but sometimes it happens to my client to crash, mostly because the myriad of mods which I use. The downside: even on very hard (i didn't tried legendary in MoH) the yellow rebellion is underpowered, and I mean alot. Expand
