I expected more. The concept is interesting, the puzzles at their core entertaining. But everything seems disconnected somehow.

There’s nothing overwhelmingly wrong with Twilight Path, but it’s not treading on new ground either. There’s a whole lot of similar VR games to this one and there just isn’t much to make it really stand out from the crowd.

Twilight Path offers a wonderful but far too brief VR experience of being the magical savior of a kingdom in ruins, solving lots of puzzles along the way. Unfortunately, we will need to wait for the next chapter to (hopefully) see how things turn out.

Twilight Path wants to deliver something grand, but doesn't give itself enough time to set up a world that you can connect with (and therefor care about). Without that, the game is purely reliant on its puzzles for delivering engaging gameplay, but misses a key opportunity to train the player with core concepts that are expanded and challenged as the game progresses. While the player is imbued with special spirit powers, they ultimately don't make you feel very powerful or part of the world.

Twilight Path’s gorgeous visuals and massive world aren’t enough to hide the lackluster puzzle solving and brief journey through the spirit world. Since the adventure is over far too soon at barely more than an hour of gameplay, there really isn’t enough here to entice even the most hardcore puzzle gaming fans. Form was an excellent debut VR puzzle adventure for Charm Games, but Twilight Path feels like a step back. Unfortunately, the inhabitants of Twilight Path’s spirit world aren’t the only things about this game that are lifeless.

If you liked Form, then you will probably tolerate this one - it's basically the same stuff in a different wrapping. But if you didn't likeIf you liked Form, then you will probably tolerate this one - it's basically the same stuff in a different wrapping. But if you didn't like Form, then you gonna absolutely HATE Twilight Path.

Those two games have a lot of similarities: awesome visuals, short length, unsatisfying ending and the most boring puzzles ever. Follow the path with your hand, solve a 3D jigsaw puzzle with 2-5 pieces, point your hand on an object for a few seconds - that covers about 90% of the gameplay. I don't think this can even be called "puzzles" with all seriousness.
