    Hazel Iversen, the Swan, is the new Prince of the Boston Camarilla. An iron hand in a velvet glove, she intends to assert her power and respect the Masquerade, the vampiric law designed to ensure humans never learn of the existence of these creatures of the night. But nothing works as planned. With rumours of plots, murders and power struggles, you must work in the shadows to protect your Sect in a frantic investigation that plunges Boston into chaos.

    Play as 3 vampires who are over a hundred years old. Progress through the game through their intertwined destinies, deal with their different points of view and use their character sheets to try to separate the truth from the lies. Each character has their own abilities and vampiric disciplines that you can upgrade individually to suit your preferred approach.
    Will you choose intimidation, seduction or stealth? It's your decision, as long as you can sate your Hunger for blood.

    With its unique approach to gameplay, Swansong puts emphasis on the consequences of your actions in both the investigation and your social interactions with characters.     An engaging experience to sink one’s teeth into, Swansong may have its faults, but it offers a blood-curdling plot and amazing characters that simply can’t be found anywhere else.

    Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong tells an incredible story, one the player can truly influence, but it falls short in many of the efforts to translate the World of Darkness into video game form. A must-play for fans of the universe, but fans of the narrative-driven RPG may find more frustration than enjoyment.

    Moral murkiness helps preserve the tension across Swansong’s duration. There’s always something at stake – your life, the masquerade, your integrity – and that does a lot to infuse some meaning into all the talking and scouring rooms for notes. I doubt that Swansong is set to become a vampire RPG of legend, like 2004’s Bloodlines, but it nonetheless makes vampires scary again.

    Swansong ultimately has little to recommend it. Its writing is stilted, its storytelling muddled, and its puzzle design is mostly unimaginative. Sadly, there isn't even any kind of worthwhile payoff if you do manage to see it through to its conclusion. I reached a point where I was thinking I'd hit the close of the second act, and then the game ended. Just like this.

    The game is a challenge, it is not the typical game that shows you everything through arrows and glowing things. You have to look for answers by yourself, make your own conclusions and make your own decisions. You want a password? you have to pay attention, cause the password is not gonna be glowing in the darkness so you can see it.
    The dialogs are great and they change depending on your attributes, abilities, etc.
    It is a great game. It is not for everyone, of course. If you wanted an action RPG you WON'T like it, and I would recommend to wait for the Bloodlines 2 (Still hopeful T_T)    … Expand

Ever since Telltale put the final nail in the coffin of adventure (quest) games I am trying really hard to find a game with actual puzzles. Well, this game has them. Yes, they are not the best, and the dialogue is far from perfect. But it's a nice vampire story with interesting characters. The skill system is also pretty good and is enough reason to replay the game in the future.… Expand

I'm a long time Vampire player but really enjoy the 5th edition and had really high hopes for this game. I'm not sure what happened here, but a vampire game has to get the writing right in the plot and the dialogue and this one failed at every turn. I'd recommend picking up The Council and skipping this one.… Expand

The voice acting is terrible, the graphics are dated, the story is disjointed and boring, and there's no combat whatsoever. To be clear I am ok with the lack of combat if the story is interesting and engaging. Disco Elysium is probably my favorite game from the last 10 years. But that game had an amazing story with meaningful decisions to be made. Disco Elysium kept you on your toes from beginning to end. That is not the case here. Anyway as if the game-play and story weren't bad enough, then you have to deal with all the force fed SJW BS on top of that. It's truly awful.… Expand

    This game is a cringy SJW fest. It appears that men are almost extinct in this universe. There are 10 female characters for every male character.
