Nov 1, 2013Warface, the first experience of Crytek in the free-to-play field, is a very nice competitive online FPS, with a lot of well-known game modes and fast gameplay. The visuals are pure Crytek quality, and even if it’s not an original game, it surely deserves a deep look.
-
Dec 17, 2013Warface is a good F2P shooter, with an economic model that does not reward too much real money to win and a fun and deep co-op experience. The same can not be said about the competitive modes, and the originality. However, you can just try it free and if you like co-op MMOFPS, you will find bread for your teeth.
-
Nov 6, 2013Warface is a solid but pretty standard online first person shooter, packed with the usual range of game modes, classes and weapons. That said, it's also very nice looking and completely free to play.
-
Dec 20, 2013Crytek launches itself in the free-to-play market with a dynamic and interesting shooter, but realized too superficially to convince.
-
Nov 1, 2013Warface succeeds in keeping the player immersed and on his toes, and it does that for free. It doesn’t feel that unique though, and the co-op mode can’t hold its own against the death matches.
-
Oct 30, 2013Warface is a good alternative to the traditional FPS: light, simple and fun, it lacks only a little more innovation to convince completely. Nevertheless, it deserves to be tried, and its biggest advantage is its price: it's totally free.
-
Nov 12, 2013Warface is a pretty good game (in its category), but after a while is becomes repetitive and shallow. You need to remember, that the competition in the F2P category is huge and if I were to give Crytek's game a higher note, then my favorite PlanetSide 2 would go off the scale. PS2 is simply a much better game worthy of sacrificing your youth for. Warface is worthy of an hour a day.
-
Oct 24, 2013Warface is a perfectly fine free to play shooter that looks nice, but it does very little to differentiate itself from certain other military shooters that are on the way.
-
Nov 18, 2013An uninspired coop-shooter, developed with a reduced cryengine 3. It’s ok for playing some matches with friends, but the game is missing longtime motivation. Unfortunately it is implemented in the very uncomfortable designed gaming-platform, named Gforce. At least, the game is free2play and offers some kind of entertainment.
-
Nov 15, 2013Quotation forthcoming.
-
May 19, 2014Warface isn't very well-balanced: players who've been playing for very long or are paying money for their items have a noticeable advantage. The structure gets on your nerves and is very de-motivating for new players.
-
Nov 8, 2013Considering Warface is a sharp-looking game that you can play for free in your Web browser, you might be inclined to overlook some of its minor faults. The collaborative dynamic of co-op missions is the real draw, but the generic presentation and uninspired competitive combat don't take enough risks to push beyond what you've see done before.
-
Oct 28, 2013This is just another shooter, that won't give you anything you haven't seen before. Yes, it's free and it does have some entertainment, but there are plenty of better options out there.
-
Aug 27, 2014A middling contender in the most oversubscribed genre around. Trades too hard on being free.

Games Master UKDec 25, 2013Oh so ordinary FPS. [Jan 2014, p.81]
-
CD-ActionJan 10, 2014Crytek’s game fails to differentiate itself from other free-to-play shooters. I find Ghost Recon Online, Warframe and even PlanetSide 2 more interesting. [01/2014, p.68]
