Dragonflight is sprinkled with little moments like these that encourage you to take your time and smell the roses, so to speak. Though there are still plenty of collectathons and kill quests to complete, Dragonflight shines when it reminds you of the unique world you're in and invites you to slow down and immerse yourself in it. It's an expansion about remembering where you've come from, yet embracing what comes next. It's about coming home. Considering the quality on display in Dragonflight and all the changes that have been made to improve the core systems of Blizzard's iconic RPG, I have no doubt more than a few lapsed players that had grown tired of what Azeroth had to offer in recent years will be doing just that.

Dragonflight has been the revitalization that World of Warcraft sorely needed after Shadowlands. Yes, there are some issues that still could use some work, but that’s the nature of MMO development, especially when you change things up to such a degree as this expansion did. I’m also heartened to see them willing to make big adjustments like they have planned in 10.0.5. I honestly thought Guardians were going to have to suck it up until 10.1, at the least for a talent tree rework. If they can keep this up and regularly deliver content and adjustments, Dragonflight could be the best expansion World of Warcraft has ever done.

A successful addon, with which WoW works on its foundation and responds to fan requests.

Those who love the traditional WoW modus operandi will be well rewarded by Dragonflight, but the expansion could have aspired to other goals with a little more courage in terms of creativity and design.

World of Warcraft: Dragonflight is somehow a breath of fresh air and a celebration of classic design principles in equal measure. The return to more dynamic, old-school talent trees enhances the class fantasy with a seasoning of new abilities across the board. At the same time, the retreat of pressuring, artificial power-gating systems promotes a more healthy gameplay loop. The game is also gorgeous, with a more promising storyline, elevated cinematic delivery mechanics, and deeper core systems which make for one of WoW's best expansions in years.

With World Of Warcraft Dragonflight, Blizzard combines legacy features with several new or refreshed ones to give a second breath to its legendary MMORPG.

World of Warcraft: Dragonflight invites players to a breathtaking new world, teeming with excitement. However, despite some enjoyable new features, such as Dragonriding, the experience quickly boils down to more of the same stuff players have seen and done before.

Game play and story are great. I really do not understand all the hate. Launch day was a bit crowded on some servers, oh my!!

Someone claimed there was a gay dragon somewhere, oh the insanity!! Personally I did not notice and don't care. No one should feel threatened in game over this.

Launch was not particularly smooth but there is a lot going on in Dragonflight and it’s fun. I have never before found myself just doingLaunch was not particularly smooth but there is a lot going on in Dragonflight and it’s fun. I have never before found myself just doing things in the open world that weren’t tied to player power and I’m just enjoying everything. Dragon riding is a blast, the new talent trees provide a lot of options and are a nice blend between the pre-mop talents, artifact weapon traits, and post-mop talents. Professions can provide very powerful gear. Deducting one point because some of the dungeons need some love. But I am loving this expansion week one and it seems significantly more promising than Shadowlands, BFA, and even Legion. Expand

The new race is anything but new. They just baked humans, blood elves and worgen together, put a lot of rainbow on it and call it now a brand new dragon race. The devs were so lazy, that they even kept some of the animations of Worgen for the oh so new dragon race.

As others mentioned already, the only other new feature, dragon riding, is straight out of Guild Wars.

They didn't even update all the old graphics. Azeroth looks like pixel mush.

Again, like others already said, Blizzard tries very hard to look progressive after that gigantic lawsuit against them, but their double standards show very clearly.
Lots and lots of lgbtq left and right, but racism is unchanged.
We still choose a faction based on race.
That is not progressive at all, Blizzard, lol.
Calling racial segregation important for the factions...

I don’t care for yet another flop. I find this rush rush gameplay tiring and unrewarding. WoW was not built to be an esport, yet the only content those devs care for is raiding. Outside of raiding you find another boring barebones expansion and I won't stick around this time. Not after bfa and shadowlands, which were both annoying and tiresome, too.
I left feeling like I wasted my money yet again to be honest. This was such a loss in my book all around.

Talent trees? Well, how about they would have never removed those in the first place?
New race? Good joke. Just a scaly female Worgen and unlike other dragons we can't even use all races for visage. Why? Because the devs love restrictions.
Changeable ui? Ohhhh, great! wow reached the year 2010.
Dragon flying? Can I copy your homework, GW2?
New zone? How about you would update like 80% of the game, that is still using visuals from the early 2000s?
Actual modern customisation options with sliders, color palettes and such? Nah, we don't keep up with time here at Activision Blizzard.
Can we finally socially and freely interact with people from the other faction, joining guilds and stuff? You know, stuff you usually do in a social game like a mmo? Woah! Being social in wow? Of course not!
Did the devs finally remove racial segregation and let all playable races have their own free will and with that all races start neutral? No! We wanna keep racism as a foundation in wow. B- but look, we are totally progessive by removing genders! Right?!

I could go on. Just not a game worth spending time and money on.
