Seems a lot of negativity for this game, as someone that has enjoyed watching Wrestling on and off for 35 years, and played a lot of the games in that time too... well it is pretty decent on PC. First off the game is definately an improvement in many ways over 2k15 and 2k16 much in the same way small tweaks happen in other franchises like FIFA every year without much overhaul overall, thisSeems a lot of negativity for this game, as someone that has enjoyed watching Wrestling on and off for 35 years, and played a lot of the games in that time too... well it is pretty decent on PC. First off the game is definately an improvement in many ways over 2k15 and 2k16 much in the same way small tweaks happen in other franchises like FIFA every year without much overhaul overall, this is very true here also.

Graphics - I play maxed out in 4k60 without any issues and the game looks very nice with it's updated lighting and visuals over the last 2 PC installments. The animations have been vastly upgraded, faces now look better and have a lot more actions, taunts have been vastly improved and look more natural to the Tv shows now.

Sound - Less buggy than the previous years without a doubt, 2k16 had an annying glitch on the sound for custom characters not playing all the crowd fx, this seems fixed for 2k17.

Solo modes - Decent choice and revised mini-games is a welcome thing, definately feels sharper and more responsive this year, again compared to the only 2 PC games available for the last 15 years.

Multiplayer online - TBH i never buy these type of games for web play cos bad pings would ruin the fluid gameplay, although I have tested on a private friends only match and seemed fine to me.

Bad points? PC owners have to buy the DLCs this year... definately a crappy point for a late release vs console... also annoying glitch when custom characters sometime bomb the game to desktop when editing, but thats about it.

I'm reviewing Digital Deluxe steam edition.

The WWE game series is a great thing to be honest, but for god's sake, I wish they would use the PC's creative power to it's full potential (mod support).

WWE 2k17 is very disappointing, and it has a lot of unclaimed potential. The graphics aren't all that good, especially the audience. The ranking system of the Online doesn't work well, and the game is full of bugs. On the other hand, the special abilities are great, the customization system is wonderful and the special games modes are perfect.

The PC version of WWE 2K17 comes out of time for several reasons, with a standard price, no DLCs included and the same issues we found on console: cumbersome controls, no story mode and a mixed bag in terms of graphics.

Even the inconvenience aside that this year (unlike 2016 and 2015) the console DLC is not included and has to be paid for separately the direction of the dominant wrestling franchise is still unclear. You have more wrestlers than ever before, but with just marginal enhancements of the proven fighting mechanics and reduction of modes you wonder what’s next.
