  • Summary: Unique fusion of a top-down shooter and tower-defense strategy. You are the invader. Use destructive weapons or lead you enemies into a maze of towers. Strategize in the build mode by carefully selecting various types of alien towers or throw yourself right into the heat of the battle.

Well executed mixture of tower defense and twinstick-action with challenging missions and chaotic destruction.

X-Morph Defense is a pleasant surprise. The blend of shooting action and tower defense fits rather well, and the constant action keeps things at a very frantic pace almost all of the time. It could've used more weapon variety and more modes outside of co-op, but as it stands now, X-Morph Defense is an enjoyable romp for fans of either genre.

What a awesome game! Perfect blend of tower defence and twin stick shooter. How come such great titles go under the radar and boring crappyWhat a awesome game! Perfect blend of tower defence and twin stick shooter. How come such great titles go under the radar and boring crappy gameplay titles like Hellblade are praised to the high hevens is beyond me.
Game has some fresh and fun ideas - you need to manage your defences by raising turrets and destroying enemies yourself and gather parts of destroyed enemies which you cant do at the same time so you have to decide should you destroy opponents or collect resources to build more turrets.
You also have large skill tree to pick your abilities and other upgrades.
A/V is also awesome, the enviroment gets destroyed quite realistically.
Note that its much better to play with gamepad than mouse+keyboard combo.
    Overall - solid 10/10.

I love how action-packed it is, you are NEVER passively watch what's happening, there's always something to do, somewhere to fly to, some towers to set up, some artilleries to disable, etc. It baffles me that this game hasn't sold millions of copies, it's a true achievement in all aspects: graphics, gameplay mechanics, engaging campaign and great voice acting. I can't believe that there's not more publicity about it. Maybe that's because it wasn't made in the good old US of A. Well personally I like it because it's intelligent and refreshingly different. I'm more into shmups that tower defence games but this mixes both genres quite effectively. If you like sci-fi shooters it's a must buy. The gameplay is smooth and the graphics and effects are excellent. Every shooting game needs explosions like this! Hours of entertainment... Expand

Haiku Review: Taking over Earth / Towers will stop the good guys / With a ship to boot
Favorite Thing: A fusion of two genres I don't like make for an enjoyable game!
Least Favorite Thing: There wasn't enough variation in the levels. Most of it felt the same just with different paths.
