In spite of an old game engine, the Yakuza Kiwami remake adds a lot of exclusive content, well-included into the huge playground of Kamurocho.

After all these years, Yakuza Kiwami shows that it can work splendidly even on the PC platform. Still one of the best games in this series, with its rich story, intriguing characters, and fun gameplay mechanics.

Yakuza Kiwami is a blast! Play as the no-nonsense badass Kazuma Kiryu as you take back your city. Be the hero and you crush enemies or spend your time eating and visiting the racetrack, the options are all yours. The combat and story come together perfectly to make a game you will not want to put down. If you are looking for something completely over the top, then you will love Yakuza Kiwami.

With Yakuza Kiwami we can finally live the birth of Kiryu Kazuma even on PC.

The best way to treat Kiwami is like the 2nd season of a show. It might reuse animations or games, but the budget saved from that allows for a greater focus on the new stuff. It’s both different and comfortable. It’s not the perfect introduction to the franchise, nor the most unique. Nevertheless, if you loved the world of Yakuza 0 and crave more serious crime dramas that let you bowl with your eyepatched rival, Kiwami is a wonderful port for an interesting game. So long as you can forgive minor design hiccups, you’ll be sure to have a blast in Kamurocho.

Yakuza Kiwami for PC is a solid, compelling, visually-stunning action experience, packed with lots of missions and sub-missions, spectacular characters, different fighting styles and vicious villains you'll love to hate.

A decent port of a classic, with an outstanding combination of rich story and comedic elements.

Really, you can’t go wrong with Kiwami. I would have liked it if every aspect of the game had been fully redone, but we don’t see remakes like this come along often. I can deal with a few stumbling blocks when the core quality of what makes Yakuza so unique and engaging remains untouched. At least now more people can have a chance to experience this classic, which is the best thing about Kiwami’s existence.

Yakuza Kiwami on PC follows the original version for PlayStation 4 so faithfully that while playing we’ll often doubt which platform we’re playing on.

PC players can enjoy now the remake of the first entry of the franchise. It is a good port, and although the game has its flaws, it still holds up quite well.

Yakuza Kiwami is the first of several planned remakes of the original series, and chances are all of them will wind up on the PC at some point. It’s been a long wait for many to see such a revered classic on the PC, but it’s one that’s worth every bit of that patience.

Yakuza Kiwami is a brilliant, beautiful, and brutal remake of one of Sega's finest action RPGs, now available on PC with a host of graphical options.

Updated systems, fleshed out characters, and, yes, higher fidelity graphics, all mean that this original gangster epic can sit proudly alongside the rest of the family.

Its strong points (story and combat system) are more than enough to keep you on your toes for at least 15-16 hours, while the PC version enjoys improved graphics, steady frame rate and a convenient auto-save system. However, Yakuza Kiwami shows its age and we would hardly recommend it as a starting title for newcomers - Yakuza 0 earns that title.

Well executed remake of a classic with all the weaknesses and strengths still intact, including on of the best storylines in the franchise history.

Suffers in comparison to Yakuza 0, but is still a compelling drama and an important part of the series as a whole.

The original Yakuza has been remade into a sequel to its own prequel, but although it’s perfectly competent it feels outdated compared to the newer entries.

It definitely feels like the odd Yakuza game out.
  2. It is simply a good time. And there is an unmistakable, open-hearted joy to fixing problems for people as an intimidating agony uncle. Even if it usually involves hitting them with a bike first.

PC gamers with a passion for action need to check these games out, and existing Yakuza diehards might want to consider grabbing a PC copy of Kiwami for future playthroughs. With a gamepad.
