Yakuza: Like a Dragon swaps out its long-running protagonist and gameplay tropes to magnificent results. The team at Sega has crafted one of the most absurd, most entertaining, and most fun JRPG I've played in years.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon is a phenomenal entry into the Yakuza franchise, with an interesting new protagonist, a compelling story, and a combat system that constantly mixes things up.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon reminded me why I loved video games to begin with. I cannot think of a game this year that has gripped me this tightly and didn’t let go. Here comes a game brimming with joy and excitement that is earnest with its drama and comedy. It’s the sort of game you can gush about for hours, and I will long after this review is published. Anyone who loves RPGs, open world games, comedies, crime dramas, and games PERIOD should have a lot of fun with the newest Yakuza.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon transforms the long-running beat'-em-up series into a Japanese role-playing game—and it's shockingly good. Though it retains some of the past games' clunky character animations, Like a Dragon's action-packed combat and engaging story make it a must-own RPG.

Atmospheric gangster epic with many memorable moments and a wide array of mini-games. It does recycle some ideas from its predecessors.

Yakuza’s new direction maintains the series signature drama and deckings, while finding rich new comedy in its weirdest beatdowns yet. Hugely entertaining stuff.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon takes some bold steps in a new direction for the series but neglects to maintain its balance.

I have played every Yakuza game aside from 3 and this is far and away my favorite one. The writing is extremely sharp, to the point where all the sub-characters (normally a source of boredom to me) are extremely sharp, very well-fleshed-out, and are all interesting and multi-faceted. I love them all.

The combat is fun but pretty standard JRPG fare, but once you unlock class changes there's a ton of unorthodox classes to choose from like Cook, Fortuneteller, Devil Rocker etc. They're all unique in a lot of ways and are a great deal of fun to experiment with. The real draw to Like A Dragon, though, like all Yakuza games, is the enormous wealth of stuff to do. Arcade games, restaurants, a remarkably deep business-management game, a remarkably deep kart racing game, there's just a ridiculous amount of stuff to waste your time on.

I could go on all day, but take my word for it, this game is remarkable. An outstanding entry in the Yakuza series and a game I am happy to have spent 40 hours on and I don't even feel like I'm half done.

Antes de empezar a jugar tenía 2 dudas:
    1. Nuevo protagonista.
    2. Cambio de género a RPG.
Esas dudas se han acabado convirtiendo en sus puntos fuertes y además tiene esa esencia Yakuza que hace el juego único, divertido y muy recomendable.

This damn virgin humor from Japan is the worst thing in the game, I can't stand that terrible combat system and those "anime power moves" that make me cringe so hard.
Anyone who has played the Yakuza franchise knows that Yakuza: Like a Dragon has gone too far in terms of "innovation", it's good to have a new character with a new story to tell, but Yakuza started from a serious game with a very good humor and mini-games to break the tension, to a completely child's game. Anyways, good story but the worst combat system of all times, they screwed up really bad.

Pretty overrated for a game that functions like game from 2002, this is just sad.
