From the wonderful creator that brought us the Danganronpa series comes a new project.I've finished Zanki Zero with 40hrs and i can partially say that i was disappointed in the product. The characters were alright even though i never really got the care that much about them and they were kinda bland. The gameplay in some parts was alright but in others was a really annoying and tediousFrom the wonderful creator that brought us the Danganronpa series comes a new project.I've finished Zanki Zero with 40hrs and i can partially say that i was disappointed in the product. The characters were alright even though i never really got the care that much about them and they were kinda bland. The gameplay in some parts was alright but in others was a really annoying and tedious especially in the final dungeon where you constantly just walk fight walk fight find a key open door find another key and so on it really got on my nerve and it was no fun and just annoying. The story was ok but nothing great like the danganronpa series where every plot twist that they showed blew your mind away and sometimes even gave you an adrenaline rush.Sadly its not like that in Zanki zero where all the plot twists are incredibly predictable and also really boring. The ending was also k.Overall if you wanna buy this game be prepared for tedious dungeon crawling with some alright characters and a meh story.I suggest buying it when its 50-70% off. This mashup should work extremely well, but instead it comes across more as an interesting, but not always enjoyable, dungeon crawler with an oddball storyline. This tale becomes its saving grace as it slowly reveals each character’s backstory. Of course, the death and revival element is unique as well, though at times it proves frustrating more than anything else. Zanki Zero: Last Beginning provides an intriguing template that Spike Chunsoft may be able to refine into an amazing game with future attempts.
