  1. Any Crash Bandicoot fan would be a fool not to go out and buy this game. I started playing at 2am one night and did not stop until three in the afternoon!
  2. If platform-hopping and coin-collection isn't your bag, you'll want to avoid Crash before he gets on your last nerve.
  3. The non-stop action can get a bit repetitive and ultimately tiresome, and the sound effects may begin to wear on the nerves after a few hours of playing.
  4. 62
It’s got average graphics and average level design. This game is as average as games can get.
  5. 60
    The platform game grows up.
  6. Those looking for revolutionary gameplay or a game that pushes the envelope of the latest generation of gaming systems will most certainly be disappointed.
  7. Not only is the gameplay un-revised on this much more powerful platform, but much of the former joy in the series has been drained away. The characters, levels and gameplay are essentially flat.

To be fair though the platformering sections are still good and the controls are tight and responsive the boss battles are also fun ( excluding the first boss) and I liked the idea of crunch but the elemental masks were not used in their full potential..and I love the soundtrack it's some of the best in the series, there's a great amount of replay value and there's not much backtracking to get the gems.

Overall the game didn't bring anything new or innovative it feels like crash bandicoot warped but worse it's not bad it's just decent.

Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex isn't a half-bad game, not at all, and it has a unique amount of variety for hardcore Crash fans. But theCrash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex isn't a half-bad game, not at all, and it has a unique amount of variety for hardcore Crash fans. But the fact is... It doesn't even slightly try to take risks by taking advantage of the PS2's -- far more advanced -- engine, thus adding no new innovations to the series. Pros: Excellent graphics; beautifully detailed levels; variety of levels and replay value. Cons: No new features; limited level design; unadjustable camera; quirky controls; dreadfully long and frequent loading screens; feels more like a rehash than a sequel. Expand

Nah, this is just like the PSOne Crash games, which weren't too special either.
