Eureka Seven is a tasty side dish, but it doesn't satisfy as a meal. [Oct. 2006, p.59]
Clearly the license in which it is derived from is a complex and engaging one, but maybe there was just too much bitten off here.
Eureka Seven could have been decent if the LFOs didn't feel like they were slliding on thin ice, or the lifting delivered any sensation of speed or excitement. [Oct. 2006, p.100]
It’s got a long way to go, and I haven’t even ragged on the fact that there are no multi-player modes. I may not be so nice when it comes to Volume 2. Average. At best.

There are bits and pieces of Eureka Seven that come across as legitimate fan service, but the game is so wildly uneven and devoid of decent gameplay that only the most forgiving fans will be able to tolerate it.
