Comprised of more than 10 levels and 3 mini-games, players use a rat trap catapult, a dashing cocktail sword, pudding mix, and other items found in the sewer as they defeat enemies and dodge floating debris. Fun mini-games such as Rat Traps & Crayons, Pathfinder, and more extend the gameplay and offer players a chance to increase their health by collecting and salvaging items, boost their energy through power-up items and unlock exclusive content such as concept art, film assets, and more. 1. While we're pleasantly surprised with Flushed Away, that doesn't mean it ignores all of the typical problems for licensed games made on the quick. The camera is pretty crazy at times (especially when you're attempting to control it, oddly enough), and the controls are awkward.

Flushed Away isn't a terrible game, but it does nothing to encourage me to go and see the film again, and tarnishes what is easily one of the funniest films of the year.

Meant for younger gamers, Flushed Away lacks the lemon-fresh tinge that would separate it from all the other cartoon platformers clogging the system. [Christmas 2006, p.96]

There are few solid gameplay elements, such as some clever use of Rita’s grappling hook, but the overall feel of the game screams “rush job” from nearly every angle. The music is generic, the VO is repetitive, the overall presentation is extremely bland, and the gameplay is chalk full of quirky execution.
  5. 38
Apart from the topical title, Flushed Away shares the same type of brain busting boredom we've all come to expect from these sort of lazy cash-ins, with the added disadvantage of leaving itself open for some puntastic criticism... absolute toilet.
  6. Yet another poor incarnation of a movie (which didn’t do that great anyway) which doesn’t accomplish anything other than giving the player consistent headaches throughout. Blame it on its poor level design, repetitive gameplay, constant bugs or whatever you like, as there are ample pickings.
  7. Flushed Away is absolute toilet. Sorry, again (but not as sorry as anyone involved in making the game should be).
