Arcade racers will be quite challenged by the difficulties of true F1 racing, and may run crying back to the muscle cars in GT3 out of frustration. However, if you already know what F1 racing is all about, then you can expect a well-crafted racing experience.
The difficulty level is significantly greater than most racing games, which is simply because F1 racing is extremely fast-paced. Although it does have its downfalls, it still proves to be a fun game.
Aside from not producing the kinds of graphics that you’d normally see out of a PS2, Formula One 2001 also has a lackluster interface, unconvincing physics and damage engine, and a shortage of good audio effects.
Has a good number of officially licensed drivers, tracks, and tons of customize options. But it also has twitchy steering that might throw players off the track and out of the game.
