There may be other Star Wars games out there but Lego Star Wars covers more in one game than most of them and focuses only on the sequences rather than whole films which makes for excellent gameplay.

Truly goated game. Hard to believe its so old at this point, but it truly deserves praise for starting thin iconic video game series.

The game play is quick and addictive which should satisfy adults, and the puzzles aren't too difficult, but still put up a challenge which should appeal to children.
That co-op feature makes this among the best kids games out there, because parents and kids can directly play together.
The presentation in LSW is excellent. The game’s visuals are detailed and the Lego look is superb.
If you mature, and don't get Star Wars at all it is possible that you may consider that this is more an quality Lego Star Wars product than it is a gripping Lego Star Wars game. This is one for the younglings. Move along.
The core gameplay is somewhat lacking. ‘But it’s for kids,’ we hear you cry. Maybe so, but even kids - or those who are just young at heart - will no doubt want a challenge that lasts longer than it would take to watch the original trilogy. [May 2005, p.109]

I'm glad, that there are Lego games for many franchises. Even if the Batman game is slightly better, this one still rocks. Overall rating: 8.5.

While LEGO Star Wars is a great game. It’s held back by being the first in a long line of LEGO games. While collecting studs and mini kits is fun and there is a wide selection of characters from the prequel movies. The game play is very limited. Sith and Jedi don’t have unique abilities, blaster characters feel underwhelming, and there is a wide selection of character whose only use is for exploration. I'm hoping the sequel improves on the solid groundwork

Meh. The game is alright. It's very easy and wouldn't recommend anyone over the age of 12 to play. If you enjoy a light-hearted, silly game, where you can interact with the environment, and enjoy Star Wars then this is for you. My personal favorite parts of the game are where you are forced to interact with the environment in clever ways to make more progress

I finished this game with my friend but we were both kinda exhausted after first chapter (movie). Game-play is really repetitive. Controls are okay, but in few moments (like race part) it is almost unplayable and annoying when you are playing in co-op.
