Overall, MLB 07 is one of, if not the best, baseball games ever made.
MLB 07: The Show is the best baseball game currently available on the PS3.
Those with even a passing interest in baseball needed hesitate, though. This is manna from heaven. Import now. [Sept 2007, p.110]
While it's not a huge step in improvement for a baseball game, MLB 07 The Show manages some good baseball moments. The bugs and some inconsistent issues leaves it at an above average baseball game though.
Despite the improved visuals, MLB sports a few nagging glitches, and although the game's fun, it doesn't feel like a huge step up from its predecessor.
The Show is a solid game, but where the PS2 (and PSP) versions are inspired, the PS3 offering doesn't give the same feeling of "real" baseball. It's a no-contest this season: For the best new-gen baseball, stick with the most beautiful choice: "MLB 2K7."
