Whilst tunes are ridiculously easy to create and fiddle around with, doing anything worthwhile on them is difficult and gives you the feeling that a PC based tune maker is clearly the way forward.

The title does offer features and functionality (for Xbox owners, at least) that can only otherwise be obtained through pricey PC software, and the fact that a console title can even approach this kind of professional software has left us particularly impressed. [Aug 2004, p.114]

While it can be fun playing in the sandbox you're going to eventually grow out of it. You may not get all the nuances of this program under control in a weekend, but that's long enough to decide if this interests you.

Remixing is fine for what it's worth, and you can get pretty intricate with the tools provided for you, but if you try to create your own compositions from scratch, you'll bump up against a pretty low ceiling. [July 2004, p.99]
  5. A decent piece of software which is only let down by its poor interface and lack of a really in depth tutorial to give users some idea of how to create a decent mix without using only basic sounds and tunes.
  6. Great, if you can’t afford a real music-editing package.
  7. The tools and interface make it easy to customize tracks in a lot of different ways. The only drawback is that you’ll probably be the only one enjoying them.
