The online concept seems very good, the actual play just needs to be refined when talking about such things as network lag and the sort. Things can get very frustrating very fast with the delay in action after pressing a button.
The major downfall of the gameplay is the unbalance between running and passing, which really hurts the game’s overall score. The less than ambitious play calling menus aren’t helping their cause, either.
The authoritative presence of Hal of Fame sports announcer Keith Jackson significantly enhances what would have been an otherwise poor showing. [Oct 2003, p.68]
GameBreaker does a poorer job of fulfilling its duties as a college game than "GameDay" does as a pro simulation. [Oct 2003, p.118]
The online mode and audio commentary show that the series holds promise, but even hard-core college football fans will feel frustrated by this game.
