While somewhat repetitious, the linear design and simple control schemes will draw players along and it is not hard to work through the levels.
-
This game is rated E for Everyone, and rightfully so as only gamers around ten or younger could really find enjoyment playing as their favorite Nicktoon character.
-
It's a simple game--so simple that it's really not good for anyone over the age of 9 or 10--but it's not bad, and the way it's structured makes it perfect for parents to jump in and out to help when kids get stuck.
-
A manual camera (or at least one that would stay static), a lineup that would include more Nicktoons, and a difficulty select would greatly improve the game.
-
Games Master UKCo-op trash aimed at under-10s. Give us Mickey and Donald anyday. [June 2006, p.80]
-
Official Playstation 2 Magazine UKWe like SpongeBob, but teaming him up with his Nickelodeon pals has resulted in a generic platformer with precious little originality or energy. [May 2006, p.94]
-
Spongebob Squarepants and Friends Unite! will provide a bit for the fans but anyone looking for co-op action should look elsewhere, even if they’re under ten.

IvanF.Apr 5, 2006Its a good game for kids. I must agree with Gaming Age that more playable characters and a manual camera should have been provided.
