  1. The worst part about So Long My Love is that awful feeling when you realize that there are at least four other Sakura Wars games that have never come to America. I desperately need to return to the warm and happy world of Sakura, but the best I can hope for is a second (or third) playthrough that takes advantage of Sakura's branching storyline.
  2. Five years is quite a wait for a PS2 game. Only the most dedicated would care about it at this point and that's quite a shame. They're missing out on the last great PS2 game.

Sakura Wars ~So Long, My Love~ is a great game in its own right. It sports NISA's best localization to date and has truckloads of replay value to boot.
  4. Sakura Wars is a game apart. It is a niche game within a niche genre, and is quite proud of it. The open-minded and unafraid will find a cheerful experience that is happily free of more contemporary obsessions with maturity and grit, content to be silly, fluffy, quirky and madly "anime".
  5. Yes, it's campy and silly in parts, and yes, it's not something many western audiences are going to be used to. However, I feel that Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love is definitely worth the look.
  6. It's simple and easy to play, and it offers a fair amount of value for your dollar.
  7. This is a storybook adventure, no doubt about it, and a lame one at that. Proceed with caution.

Really nice romance story, and not so bad gameplay. I don't like turn based gameplays, but this game I beat even 2 times. There is not manyReally nice romance story, and not so bad gameplay. I don't like turn based gameplays, but this game I beat even 2 times. There is not many games with good romance connected with main story. I thing BioWare never achieve such high level on romance like in games like this one. Expand

Underrated(Or maybe rather, undermarketed, since the problem is barely anyone heard of it...) gem of a game! From the times before NIS AmericaUnderrated(Or maybe rather, undermarketed, since the problem is barely anyone heard of it...) gem of a game! From the times before NIS America became censor-happy prudes. It even had a separate DVD disc with the whole game containing original Japanese dubbing! I really applaud that effort as the english dub was kinda cringeworthy and it's a shame Wii version didn't include Japanese original voices instead of it.
Story is pretty solid, characters a lot of fun(And cute), and while I'm more of a fan of the real-time combat system from the newer PS4 title, the turn based combat here is quite fun too!(Although it tends to get unforgivably hard if you don't use a guide to keep the team's relationship with you at a good level...)
