Play and enjoy After Burner Climax for what it is: a thrill ride.
  2. After Burner Climax is, without a doubt, one of the most exciting new entries into the downloadable space. SEGA managed to preserve most of the intensity and all of the fun of the original game, and this latest iteration packs in a few extras that complete the package in a meaningful way.

    Sublime. [July 2010, p.93]
  4. It’s bold and brash, and for as long as your interest holds, pretty good fun too.

It's like Mila Kunis on a bobsleigh - sexy, fast and hard to take your eyes off. [July 2010, p.118]
  6. The sleek, superficial action of After Burner Climax is thrilling in short bursts but not deep enough to last.
  7. With its fifteen levels lasting for 1 minute max, Climax have a really pathetic lifespan.

Reminds me back when it cost a $1 to play the motorized deluxe edition that moved your entire body left, right, up, and down. So, as old school arcade reboot, this game gets 9 +1 for nostalgia. Worth the measly $10 spent on it. Expand

It did bring me back to the days of playing in the arcade but not worth the $10 I paid for it. Expand
