It's not tied to a film, but think of this as more of a Bond adventure when he's on vacation; a fun, action-packed ride, but not necessarily cool or clever enough to warrant a cinematic adventure.

Bizarre clearly set out to make Blood Stone feel like a part of Bond's movie canon, and it's certainly successful on that front. The weapons are anemic, and the driving sections can be dodgy, but it delivers a dose of spectacle and intrigue worthy of the character.[Dec 2010, p.114]

James Bond 007: Bood Stone is a cool action game, especially for 007 fans. Unfortunate, the game is too linear as you haven't the possibility to explore alternative ways.

Even with its numerous imperfections, Blood Stone easily ranks as 007's strongest showing in a videogame since the original GoldenEye. Just try to keep some aspirin handy for the inevitable cellphone-induced headaches.

Blood Stone feels like a Bond-movie directed by Michael Bay. The game opens impressively, with variety in surroundings and the perfect Bond-vibe. But after an hour the lack of deep gameplay becomes grating and the shooting parts don't offer anything you haven't seen anywhere else before. Furthermore, the racelevels are downright disappointing and the only gadget in your possession is useless.

Blood Stone has been a weird experience for me. Its playability is dynamic but wonky, its production values are really inconsistent, its linearity fades a little when playing in difficult mode, its solo durability isn't so great but its multiplayer remains nice (though not great), and the non-stop action would be charming if there wasn't that repetitiveness. Pros and cons, to sum it up. Blood Stone will not be a future reference, that's for sure, but Bond fans may still enjoy it.

Blood Stone is definitely not one of 007's best missions.

Even though Activision published the game, the game is absolutely nothing like Call of Duty. It's a third-person shooter that controls, feels, looks, and plays nicely. I'm not a huge fan of the 007 films, but this game is heavily underrated probably because this game isn't like the original Goldeneye on the N64. For one thing, it's not really based on any specific movie, but this shouldn't be a problem for anyone. The multiplayer, despite not being as good as Uncharted, still is better than most other games. Graphics are pretty good even for 2015. By all means, get this game. Expand

AtBlood stone is incredibly satisfying, as the driving is incredible, sneak missions feel excellent, and some of the combat can get intense. At the start I down right hated the controls but I quickly got used to them and I had some of the best 5 hours I ever had. The online is decent, but can't compete with the likes of Call of Duty. This game is terribly underrated and deserves to be in your collection. Expand

It was fun to play but lacking in graphics and although lots of action at times the controls were lunky and stiff. I did get annoyed at the constant use of only using the cell phone for gadgets. THe weapons were plentiful and the game was challenging at times. I did seem to finish the game rather quickly. Im a bond fan so I was not totally disapointed. The car racing was enjoyable but hard to keep on course. I give it a 7 at best. Expand

It's not a great game but it's a Bond game and not a bad one at that (not good either).

The graphics are pretty good, the environments are decent, only the faces of the characters look a bit dull and the cut-scenes are not very beautiful. Explosions are nice though! And the sound and music are fine.

Most important is the gameplay and in that department the game is a bit flawed. The shooting is fun but not great and the few times you get to drive a car are very linear and it's hard to keep the car on the road. The driving part could have been so much better and should have been used more often to bring more variety to the game.

The game is very linear and you can't really chose how to take on the missions or which way to go. If you are still in doubt you can always use your handy cellphone which shows you were the next objective is situated. There are no other gadgets in the game, which is a bit weird for a James Bond game.

Blood Stone is a very mediocre game and will probably only appeal to true Bond fans. It starts very nicely with the spectacular scene on the yacht, followed by a great chasing scene by boat. But after that it felt like i was just playing mission after mission to get to the end of the game. I hope this time I will have the courage to finish the whole game instead of laying it down and put a Bond movie on.

It's unplayable on asian PS3 set and Activision doesn't care about patching the game
