Comet Crash is so much more than first meets the eye. I expected a simple tower defense game, that did not look too good. Instead I found a full blown RTS that even entails a few unique features. Way to go, Pelfast!
A solid tower defence game with interesting offensive and local multiplayer -elements. Too bad there's no internet play. [Dec 2009]

I love comet crash, one of my favorite games. It is missing online multiplayer but I rate it a 10 because it is amazing and ita graphics are great. I Would not call it a tower defence because tower defense reminds me of one of those crappy flash games on a computer. Even if You don't like tower defense you will like this.

This game is nothing short of an underrated gem. It beautifully combines elements of RTS games with TD games. It is simple, easy to learn, and the co-op is extremely fun and works well.

So visually the game isn't really impressive, but the gameplay certainly feels unique. It's a pretty cool blend of RTS mechanics and tower defense strategies, but nothing about it feels like a retread of something I've played before.
It's true that there are better tower defense games to play, and there are better twin stick shooters to play, but there aren't any that got thrown in a downloadable blender quite like Comet Crash.

The good: 4 player couch co-op!!! Good tower defense, a lot of depth in some levels.
The bad: too many stupid levels where you have to do one thing very fast, some levels can be annoying. Game can get repetitive.

Maybe I am being unfair with this game because it is probably the strategy genre that I do not like particularly, but still the truth is that I did not enjoy Comet Crash at all, could not even finish it.
To me, the mechanics is extremely repetitive and boring per se. I felt no attraction whatsoever, so had to abandon it (which I seldom do with games). From my point of view, there are way better strategy games with a truly great atmosphere and a more attractive gameplay.
