AnonymousMay 30, 2009This game is nothing but shovelware. The dialogue is poorly translated from japanese to english ans it is full of spelling mistakes. The voice acting is terrible, the graphics look like they could be done on the PSP and yet there is still SLOWDOWN. This game is nothing but garbage with an anime paintjob desigend to sucker weeaboos out of their money.

GodDamnJul 21, 2009Grandia was released in 1997 guys, come on. Make your own game. The graphics may be a bit better (I'd bloody hope so on this consoles engine), but the audio is the same, as is the character look and battle system. Try something original next time, and stop wasting our time with remakes.

Playstation: The Official Magazine (US)From dialogue that loads one line at a time to the lack of PS3-level graphics (high-res static art aside), everything seems like a remnant from the early 2000s. [July 2009, p.77]

A game that could have been an entertaining compilation of iconic Japanese characters turned out to be a frustrating, awkward mess of menus, gameplay imbalances and annoying dialogue scenes.

Cross Edge not only fails to be a compelling Japanese RPG but it makes for one seriously awkward and uninspiring game. Skipping this game isn’t a bad idea unless you can look past the many things wrong with this game.
