  1. If Codemasters can covert a hardcore arcade loyalist like myself, I can only imagine how quickly it will steal the soul of a true F1 fan.
  2. Those who want to get deep into the game, have a wealth of options at their disposal however. Some of the frustrating bugs, such as rigged pit stops, questionable scripted A.I. and corrupt save issues might be enough to give pause, but Codemasters has acknowledged the problems, and as of writing this review are working on a patch.

Taken as a whole, F1 2010 is a maddening experience as, in spite of the numerous flaws it undoubtedly has, it is capable of throwing up some of the most intense, exciting racing moments you are likely to find in a game.

The Career mode is a very in depth experience, the driving and feel of the race cars seems spot on, and the weather system is incredible. I enjoy the fact that the CPU's are competitive. They aren't pushovers, they fight for position, and make it difficult to overtake. Just as it is in F1, qualifying is crucial, and a good grid position is the number one best way toward getting a good race result. The only area I have to complain about are pit stops. There is no strategy involved. You come in when they tell you, (unless you specifically ask to come in earlier while racing) and the pit stop is shown from drivers perspective, so you don't get to see the pit crew at work. Finally, unless I'm mistaken, it shows the crew fueling up the car during stops. This wouldn't be a problem if refueling wasn't banned by the FIA. In reality, the crews are not allowed to add any fuel to the car after the start of the race. All that said, I believe this is one of the best racing games ever created, and will be held as the standard for Formula 1 games in the future. To say the least, this is a great game to hold me over until Gran Turismo 5 is released. Full Review »

Great game - without doubt. It's very, VERY fast so when you are driving you must be in 100% in the game. Driving feels realistic (if you canGreat game - without doubt. It's very, VERY fast so when you are driving you must be in 100% in the game. Driving feels realistic (if you can think how's driving feels travelling 350 km/h in a car). Look & feel in the game - great - it looks like good old game from Codemasters. My score 9 because of three things - why the hell when you're going to pit stop other drivers pass you through you - like they were ghost cars, but during the race?! - then when you are in the pit your pitman will hold you long enough for all other drivers to pass you ... great, simply great and last thing - why in short racing weekend the "Q" part is shortened to only 1 step - I know it's because "short" weekend... but it looks weird. I hope that those things will be covered in updates... especially first two - if yes I'll definetely score this game 10. Full Review »
