  1. Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm is the definitive Naruto game. The art-style is amazing, the combat is impressive and everything is put together in a nicely done fashion.
  2. Quite possibly one of the best Naruto games to come along on a next-generation console, Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm is a solid fighting game for the PS3 that is true to the series. It’s a blast running through the Hidden Leaf Village and it’s quite satisfying to be wrapped up in major battles that fans and non-fans will enjoy.
  3. The game is definitely a solid exponent of the Naruto-series on the PS3, although some fans will be disappointed because of the disdainful synchro. On the whole, Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm combines adventure-elements with thrilling combat-action.

It's the best-looking Naruto game to date - it comes with something for everyone. [Mar 2009, p.65]
  5. For fans of the series, this is another great Naruto game.
  6. Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm really, really, really needs to support online fights. Publisher Namco Bandai’s last big fighting game, Soulcalibur IV, did it. There’s no reason for this not to as well.

Too little bang for your buck. [Feb 2009, p.103]

The visuals are just stunning and the game play is easy enough yet challenging at the same time. Many wonderful moves to use and a great in the start of a mighty franchise for the Naruto world on PS3. Lays a great foundation of we should expect from PS3 games and gives us a glimpse of what will come in the follow up game. Only one glitch I found is that sometimes when you defeat an enemy the music wonks out in the background, but that's a minor flaw in a gigantic game. Also, could use a bit less loading time, but by no means is this unbearable; its called a break learn to take it and love it. Expand

The game is great & features amazing graphics at an amazing frame rate & it sticks with it's original story perfectly along with exciting combat.
Here are a few things that only Storm 1 has out of the series:
Super punches - it's hilarious when punching the enemy so hard that the game does a close-up on them as their cheek jiggles and groan and just go flying!
Clashes - it's what partly makes this game unique from the others and it makes sense because people could use modified controllers for multiplayer in the other Storm games which is cheating. But it builds more excitement & fun in this game!
Running on walls - send your enemies flying to the walls and you could go join and fight in the walls, it's awesome with the games camera angles, making it look like the Naruto show itself!

Overall I love this game because of it's combat, cinematic scenes and it's boss fights, it really makes this game awesome despite lack of character selection.

Taking intoQuite old now, but still a good fighting game despite its limitations (few characters because of when it was launched and so on). Taking into account it was the the first PS3 Naruto video game, it is surprising how good the graphics and the system combat was. It is one of the best early PS3 fighting games. We owe a lot to this Naruto, as it laid the foundations for the subsequent games. Expand

Another defect that I found in the game is that for you to be able to proceed in the Story mode, it is necessary to have sufficient level. And that makes the game quite repetitive, since I was unable to advance the story mode because I had not done enough side missions. But apart from that the game is good, it is acceptable. Expand

While the core gameplay from the Ultimate Ninja series remains intact, it still seems too rudimentary and little has been done to refine it. While the core gameplay from the Ultimate Ninja series remains intact, it still seems too rudimentary and little has been done to refine it. The load times border on ridiculous, and there are a number of sound glitches. However, the game itself is one of the prettiest games you'll find out on the market today, going so far as to surpass the anime style in many aspects. Expand
