May 20, 2014If you have any fondness for the series, or if you're just looking for a solid side-scrolling shooter that's about as hard as can be, R-Type Dimensions faithfully re-creates the original experience and before long you'll be wondering why you did this to yourself.

May 26, 2014If you enjoyed the remix of Pac-Man and the re-release of all the Capcom Arcade games out there, then you’re going to love what IREM and Tozai Games did with R-Type Dimensions. Sure it’s going to be tough as freaking nails, but that’s how arcade games were during the arcade era — and you’re going to love every moment of it.
-
May 29, 2014How much you will enjoy R-type will, rather like the game, depend on your age. If you grew up with shooters like Gradius and Xenon II then this is an almost essential purchase. However this is a relic of a bygone age and I don’t think younger gamers will enjoy the R-Type Dimensions half as much.
-
May 19, 2014Shooters do not offer the type of storyline depth, character customisation or lengthy gameplay we have become accustomed to in today's video games, but R-Type Dimensions proves that there is still a place for the genre if it is handled the right way. R-Type Dimensions has been handled in just that fashion, providing fun bursts of action with enough modes and variety to make the entire package worthwhile.
