I might get chastised for giving such a high score on the first game I’ve reviewed since coming back to Next Level Gaming, but this is one that everyone simply must play.
Insomniac didn't really stray too much from the formula they've built up over the years, and it works to the game's benefit. Sure, you can really explore, but the objectives are varied, the challenge nice and the RPG elements nicely assembled. Good stuff.

A very worthy spin off to a successful franchise. Insomniac took the risk and make one of the most fun arena games of all time.

More of a shooter than a platformer, which is a little surprising. The new weapons are not as hilarious as before, but everything rolls on smoothly. A great game with good variety in multiplayer options. [Dec 2005]
The cutscenes were an enjoyable interlude between bouts of carnage, but the looping quips eventually got under my skin.
Ratchet: Deadlocked doesn't push any boundaries; it doesn't break any ground. It's not haute cuisine. But sometimes you're just in the mood for peanut butter and for that, there's nothing better -- it's a little salty, a little sweet, and tremendously satisfying.
And even though the series seems to be on the path of becoming a pure shooter (which it does very well), I would like to see a few more sections that reflect its platforming roots. As for multiplayer, Deadlocked again succeeds online, but it's the new splitscreen co-op feature for the main game that's the nicest touch.
One of the most disappointing games I’ve played all year.
Great game. Interesting plot, very good atmosphere, arsenal, gameplay, and, of course, MUSIC. I hated this game a year ago, but when I tried to play it seriously, I understood that I missed another great R&C game.

En su momento no me gustó, pero el tiempo lo ha tratado muy bien. Uno de los mejores shooters que te puedes encontrar en PS2, aunque como parte de la franquicia se queda cortito y es el eslabón débil de la oferta que hubo en la consola.

Ratchet And Clank Deadlocked esta bastante bien. Sigue siendo bastante frenético y conserva en parte la esencia de la saga, pero a diferencia de los otros, este se siente muy repetitivo, con poca o nula exploración, poquísimas armas, sin sistema de armaduras y muy pocos modos de juego que hacen que, como ya dije antes, se sienta repetitivo. Al igual que los anteriores, tampoco me gusto la historia y la música se siente bastante genérica. En lo que si mejora con respecto a los anteriores es en el multijugador. Este se siente muy variado y entretenido! Puedo recomendarlo si te gusta la saga, pero no es por donde yo empezaría.

Ratchet deadlocked was ok, but this didnt show me any impression. The gameplay felt like it was similar to full frontal assault but at least it had more levels
