The Arrival is also incredibly short in length (you can be done in two hours if you're quick), but it's sinister, unnerving and full of scream-worthy jump scares while it lasts. [Dec 2014, p.94]

Some jump scares and the occasional bit of eerie ambiance are not enough to save Slender: The Arrival from a pit of predictability and low production value.

Lots of genuine scares to be had, but this is way too slender an experience for the price you're paying. [Christmas 2014, p79]

Slender: The Arrival was a solid horror title on the PC when it came out in early 2013, and that fact remains unchanged. This PS3 port is unfortunately a shambling nightmare, though, with very few elements working as intended.

This game is very challenging and keeps you on edge the whole time you are playing. The graphics need to be improved because on PC high graphics looks amazing but on PS3 I would say the graphics are on Medium. They should improve the graphics because the PS3 could handle the game on Ultra graphics but never mind. The games story is brilliant. The controls are great and have a great feel. There are so many secrets to explore. The game is also has Trophy support for more fun. I rate this game 8 out of 10.

    Story:

A girl called Lauren goes to visit her friend Kate to help her move house but a tree is blocking the path. She finds that Kate is not in the house, she goes upstairs and sees pictures every where of the slender man. She hears a scream and heads for the forest. She finds notes on the way, there letters she has sent to her fiend CR, CR can also see the Slender Man and knows hoe to stop him. On the way to Oakside park she sees a old wooden building so she explores it. She then walks through and hears a voice saying "come closer" so she does. The creature turns around and screams in your face. On the way you also see pictures of a boy names Charlie Matherson Jr. The creature you see in the broken building is Charlie as a Proxy. You turn up at Oakside park and Chapter 2 starts.

You next have to collect the 8 pages just like in the original game. Once you find all of the pages slender man tries to grab you but you run away and fall of some rocks pass out.

Chapter 3. You wake up and head or the mine. You next have to turn on 6 generators and it powers up the mine. You have another monster chasing you as well as slender man, Kate as a Proxy. Once you power the mine you use the elevator and head out of the mine.

You next find a cave and at the end is a building. Next to it is a TV. You control Kate and you have to close all the windows and doors then hide in your room. Slender man teleports right next to you and you fly out of the window.

You again play as Lauren, you head up hill and find the forest is on fire. You run from slender man and he is stronger than ever. You find a tower and you then go in. It's pitch black. There is a dead body and next to it is a camera. ( I think the dead body is CR) The monster which is Charlie Matherson Jr appears and you get teleported. You find you self in a room with the monster in there. He kills you and the camera drops on the floor. you see your dead body being dragged away and it ends.

There are also extra levels about a detective looking for the missing boy Charlie Matherson Jr which I have not yet played.

Juego aburrido y nada interesante, el simple hecho de solo buscar unos dibujos en niveles no hace que el juego llame la atencion y es muy soso
