I've played my fair share of Tekken titles from the arcade days to now and this abomination is just not Tekken in my eyes. The inclusion of stats makes certain moves and strings overwhelmingly too powerful to combat for newer players without prior knowledge of Tekken. Which in itself defeats the purpose of this title being "Newbie" friendly. The inclusion of stats makes certain moves and strings overwhelmingly too powerful to combat for newer players without prior knowledge of Tekken. Which in itself defeats the purpose of this title being "Newbie" friendly. For example, if a player doesn't know how to break a chain grab from a King user with a 200 power stat increase then they're guaranteed a loss. I wanted to give a fair review about this game unlike other reviewers who've played just for two days. I have over 3000+ wins and signed in for probably over 300+ days, needless to say I "like" the game. However, the ongoing epidemic of disconnecters, hackers and lag delayers sours the online gaming experience immensely. On top of the already flawed "red" moves which fighters use to evade being properly punished when they commit to a punishable string. I can debate the validity of the invincibility frames, its pros and cons but if you don't believe me find out for yourself and see just how frustrating this simple addition can be. Expand

No 2player splitscreen versus (offline in your couch with your friends/bro/whatevah).

No matter what anyone things, there is no arcade fighting game without a traditional fight with your m8, drinkin beer and anyway make us pay for it or give us this option. Namco should try to find another model because like ace combat infinity they scream "we need money badly" and that way they screw

This free-to-play version of Tekken is a very good deal on the PSN. Of course it is free... but it also features beautiful graphics, more accessible gameplay and a lot of online gamers available to compete with.

There's plenty to play with here, but you'll have to pay to win online. [Oct 2013, p.75]

Tekken Revolution is more experimental than Combot, but solid execution on some admittedly controversial ideas ensure that this free-to-play fighter is worth a bash. Franchise fans will feel more frustrated than Devil Jin upon witnessing the watered down gameplay mechanics, but casual combatants may find themselves lured back into the wacky world of the King of Iron Fist Tournament on the back of the digital download’s inherent accessibility and free entry fee.
