It might become a little repetitive but can give you a challenge are collecting all the items and scrolls will take you time and the mini games of Naga and Pro-bending are really fun. This game is really well done how the combos can be done and the different types of attacks you can do with each element. At the end its a really well done game and as a super fan of Avatar I thinks is well done and for a game of low budget and 15$ price is amazing. You should really get it. Expand

The Legend of Korra is a great game. You can feel the dedication and passion the developers had for it. But of course it isn't perfect.
From a gameplay perspective, it's excellent. It's just a lot of fun and although you're the avatar and can use all the elements, the game never loses the challenge. I did find myself using earth and air more than any other element, with water for long range takedowns (though I barely used fire). It does get a bit repetitive by the end but using the one-use perks gives a bit veriety. Overall, solid gameplay.
From a story perspective, I think it was quite good. There were problems with the pacing and there were some things I felt were forced into the story. Also the villain does the job as the villain, but he did felt very one dimensional. Aside from this problems, the story was good and the final third act is just epic.
From music and sounds perpective, I think they succeeded masterfully. Every sound is right and the music turns the boss battles epic, and makes the menus and pauses into a nice thing. Great work from both music and sound department.
From graphics/presentation the game looks good. It definitely doesn't try to be realistic and also it shouldn't. It has an unique style and it does make you feel like you were in the world. I didn't find any bugs and the level design was good. So overall a good presentarion.
In terms of replayability, the game takes a bit less than 4 hours to complete (which is like 11 episodes of a season) and after you finish the game you have a couple more difficulty settings, a new mode called pro-bending and quite a bunch of secrets and collectibles. So for a 15$ game, I think is more than worth the buck.
Overall The Legend of Korra succeedes at making a game based on a tv show (unlike the last 3 avatar games) and also on being it's own thing. They definitely took the quality over quantity approach, and with the help of the cast and the writers of the show, they really made a great game. For all things considered, I'll give it a 9.

It might be alittle on the short side, but with the pro-bending and the harder levels any gamer can enjoy this button mashing, bending, game.

I'll tell you right now, if you are a fan of The Legend of Korra, buy this game. The game is very high quality for the $15 price tag.

The gameplay is your typical beat em' up style. Move forward, kill some enemies, get stronger, rinse and repeat. One thing about the Legend of Korra is that it is extremely difficult, expect many game overs. The game despite it's difficulty never feels cheap, at least on the normal difficulty. The game also mixes in a some endless runner gameplay, where you ride Naga and must dodge all the obstacles in your path, a little boring but it breaks up the action well.

The Story is overall lacking. The story takes place in between seasons 2 & 3, Korra after leaving a pro-bending match is ambushed by some chi-blockers. Upon awakening she realizes all her bending has been stolen and an old man seems to be behind it. Now Korra must regain her bending and find out why she has been attacked. One gripe I have is all the loveable characters from the show, practically don't even show up. Mako & Bolin are in a few cutscenes and Tenzin and his family are gone too. Jinora appears a few times, but is only to make you do a challenge so you can regain your bending.

The art style is heavily based on the show, and the presentation is very well done as well. Many original cutscenes that are slightly lower quality than the show are in the game as well. The acting is far from perfect, but well done overall.

The game isn't perfect, but if you're a fan of The Legend of Korra, the game is an amazing deal for its $15 price. It's a good game with its flaws, but overall a pleasant (and difficult) experience.

While it may pale in comparison to some of Platinum's other games, this game is well worth the 15$ it'll cost you. Animations all look smoothWhile it may pale in comparison to some of Platinum's other games, this game is well worth the 15$ it'll cost you. Animations all look smooth and polished, and there's a fair bit of unlockables to collect.
The gameplay is also very enjoyable, featuring a multitude of different ways to fight, including Jump Cancelling, Dodge Cancelling, Dodge Offset and switching bending styles mid-combo.
It is a bit on the short side, though, with one playthrough lasting roughly 5 hours. (Subsequent playthroughs will probably run you about 2 hours each)
There are also quite a few balance issues regarding the different styles of bending. Waterbending is only moderately useful as a long-range technique, firebending is practically worthless, earthbending is incredibly powerful but a tad too slow and cumbersome to be useful near the end game or on Extreme difficulty. Meanwhile, airbending is fast, powerful, deals a lot of hits and hits all around you. There's hardly ever any reason to use anything besides airbending.
The story is also nothing to write home about, though it's not terrible either.
