    The action is viewed from an elevated position, with the player central to the action. As the undead attack from all directions, the player uses both control sticks to turn and shoot in all directions, with extra items discarded by fortunate survivors instantly added to an inventory. Zombie Apocalypse: Never Die Alone also introduces a new squad-based mechanism, which allows players to work together.     The interesting skill-based challenges and snappy, funny writing give Never Die Alone surprising legs the flop first game wrongfully assumed it had.

    "Yet another zombie game" would be the most direct definition of Zombie Apocalypse: Never Die Alone. It offers everything you can expecto from a zombie game: zombies, action and cooperative play. The problem is that it is not that different from other games (and its previous installment), so although it offers fun and entertainment for some hours, it doesn't bring anything actually new.

    Good fun in short measures, this is ultimately geared for multiplayer, so unless you have a willing team on standby then it's probably best avoided. [Issue#213, p.96]

    Never Die Alone needed a lot more playtesting by actual humans before it should've been released. There's a lot here to like, but there's also a lot here that seems like any reasonable person would've said something a lot sooner than this.
