    Everything about this game clicks, even though it probably shouldn’t work in theory. Anyone who loves a casual golf game should check it out.

    100ft Robot Golf is an ambitious title that doesn’t take itself too seriously. It’s far better due to this, and while it’s not the most polished golf you can play on PS4, it’s certainly the most fun.

    100ft Robot Golf has some clever ideas and an amusing story, but doesn't quite come together as a completely satisfying game because of limited content and some technical issues. Still, it's another example of independent developers taking a chance on unique concepts — and that's something to be celebrated.

    Coincidentally, much of the game's voice cast is plucked from the Youtube comedy/gaming community, which seems oddly self-fulfilling, since the game is likely to be more enjoyable watching other people comment and play rather than actually playing it. 100t Robot Golf is an elaborate, even hilarious, joke, that rather perfunctorily has a game attached to it.

    I think that most people judge this game as if it were an actual Golf game, rather than it's own thing. Most players seem to make the sameI think that most people judge this game as if it were an actual Golf game, rather than it's own thing. Most players seem to make the same mistake when playing the actual game as well. Unlike most Golf games, 100ft Robot Golf experiments with vertical obstructions and course layouts, which it actually succeeds in doing. It's not perfect per say, but it's not as dramatically awful as people say it is. The camera isn't the best ever ether, mostly getting stuck behind objects a lot and is one of the biggest annoyances I have with the game. The game does shine in it's humor which is something that is missing from most games or games that "try" to be funny *insertgearboxgamehere*. The McElroy brothers are pretty much the best part of the game, as they passive aggressively comment on the player. Even when the McElroy brothers aren't on screen, the game gives out some good moments in it's campaign mode. All the characters are all lovable goofy parodies of famous animes and really good ones at that. Sadly, it is so much so that a few references will fly by people who never watched said series. Now the golfing is done by several meters that measure swing power like pretty much every golf game ever. They honestly don't matter, except for Max and Vahni who use a Hot Shots style meter that also calculates the curvature of the ball. That doesn't mean everyone is the same, everyone has a unique weapon or passive effect that makes them special as well as their sort of "ultimate" which helps them aim better. It's not really balanced, as Aveline and Uncle use a skateboard instead of a regular weapon like other pilots but said skateboard allows them to move faster than the others. Now the game has no tutorial, which is kind of bad seeing how different the game really is from other games. I think a tutorial explaining how things worked would have benefited this game and it's awkward learning curve. For example, if players learned that they can simply aim backwards if they hit a wall and retry their shot from a different point, I think that this game wouldn't be as "hated". There is a dedication of love and effort put into this game and I actually do recommend getting this game for the PS4 if you could.… Expand

You are constantly struggling with the terrible camera which is frustrating because the object is to race to be the first to the hole. Moving and controlling your robot is terrible. Shooting the ball varies by robot but they are all basically reaction meters. There are special abilities but most of them don't really matter. It looks like a lost PS2 game. The humor is very Adult Swim and is trying to parody anime which is something I didn't find funny. This game is overpriced for $20 and just wasn't that fun for me.… Expand
