It’s all about going fast, perfecting jumps and slides, and going even faster than the last run. That’s Action Henk in a nutshell – faster than last.

A furiously upbeat and beautifully playable take on the platforming racer, Action Henk's offbeat action figure mayhem and forgiving difficulty curve is just what the genre needs going forward. It’s big, it’s colourful and it’s a whole heap of fun.

A cute and charming speed-runner that races straight for your heart through winning nods to childhood days and the best damn butt-slide you'll find on PS4. [Apr 2016, p.92]

It works, but it's not very original and it needs some more content and options to be engaging for longer. Still, it's not a bad game and it's very enjoyable.

Interesting 2D arcade / Runner game in the vein of Unirally (Uniracers), Joe Danger and the likes. Plenty of fun while it lasts but limited in many ways.

Controls are tight, there is some decent replay value, and it doesn’t take itself too seriously which makes for a pretty fun time.

It’s hard not to draw comparisons to Joe Danger when talking about Action Henk; the influence in both gameplay and design is there for all to see. But Action Henk falls short in too many ways, allowing Joe to speed off in to the sunset, leaving Henk in his dust.

And when you finish a run, you get to see how much better you did than other players on a level (my best is having beaten 97% of all players). The mechanics are super intuitive and homing your skill is insanely possible. You start out not-good, and then a weekend later you've gotten all gold medals and a bruised thumb. Cross-platform multiplayer and a high-energy soundtrack make the replayability that much higher. I love this game, and doing well at it is sickly satisfying. Expand

Very much like Joe Danger without the polish and content. Gameplay is solid. It takes 25 levels to get to the swinging mechanic that makes it so much more fun. I recommend turning off the terrible music and rocking to some Spotify. Art and polish is terrible. Local multiplayer only. The game is a lot of fun but pricey for $15. Expand

I lost an entire weekend to this game, and I don't mind at all. The levels are fun and well designed, the characters are comical, the music is okay, and the gameplay/feel is pretty spot on. If you can grab it on sale, I'd recommend you pick it up and pad your local multiplayer library with it, and also spend some time on the single-player runs as well. Expand
