Frictional Games have knocked it out of the park with Amnesia: The Bunker and made me realise that this style of gameplay is what their best at. I didn’t like the gameplay in The Dark Descent or the many clones that followed. But The Bunker is a phenomenal step in the right direction, returning to the Penumbra roots, and building on that foundation in a meaningful, engaging and intelligent way. I love the freedom of choice, survival horror gameplay, and the intensity and balancing between tactical, thoughtful and enjoyable gameplay that never lets up until the bitter end. This is a fantastic game and I highly recommend it to anyone, whether they love or hate horror, as this is a game worth checking out! I hope Frictional Games’ next project builds on this formula, to make an even better game.

Such a good game, much better than boring Rebirth. And finally you can have a gun and shoot monster, ive been waiting this from the first game, now it plays much more interesting. Before leaving safe room always checking map and strategictly thinkin what im gonna do next, saving ammo and resources. Small but very good Survival Horror, do something like this next time please, but more!

Previous Amnesia games have repeatedly fallen behind the horror that haunted the castle in the original game, but Amnesia: The Bunker is already showing potential in this regard. Bunker still feels like an exciting and increasingly important step forward for the Amnesia series. Players will love the change in the scale of the gameplay and the bigger storytelling and the new ways to interact with the world our hero is in. Having weapons and all the explosions you will bring back can change the atmosphere a lot but I will say they are not endless, and what will happen when you are left alone with the monster?
Amnesia: The Bunker is a labyrinth in which it is easy to get lost, but in which it will be just as easy to want to return. This new survival horror manages to be a challenging and tense challenge without falling into the easy temptation of jumpscares or holding the player's hand too much. Whether you have already memorized the previous chapters or have decided to give the Amnesia saga a chance for the first time, The Bunker therefore proves to be a new success achieved by Frictional Games and an experience to be recovered for all lovers such.
Frictional once again shows that it dominates the horror adventure genre by heart and gives us a somewhat more generic installment than Rebirth, but equally capable of offering us a remarkable survival experience.
Amnesia The bunker has all the essential elements to become a good horror title. While on the lower difficulty levels it can be a walk, the higher levels take us into the real experience, completely overwhelming us at many moments in the game. The graphic quality reaches what is necessary so that it does not feel like an ugly or poorly cared game and its sound is completely achieved so that we feel that we are trapped with no way out. Highly recommended for those looking for a terrifying experience but don't want to get frustrated with tricky maps or puzzles, Amnesia The Bunker is a straightforward game and offers much more than meets the eye.
Amnesia: The Bunker is a step down from Amnesia: Rebirth. New release from Frictional Games is visually boring, lacks atmosphere and can get on your nerves with constantly teleporting stalker enemy.
I could say, I don't recommend this game to anyone. But if you like horror, being scared and have some spare pants, this is the game for you. Not that story heavy but very, VERY HORROR HEAVY. The original Amnesia was scary, but this is on a whole new level. The AI is not scripted most of the part. it listens to your movements. You make some noise, it hears it. Even just trying to open a door and realizing, it's locked, you are in danger. It might heard it. The flashlight... a WW1 dynamo flashlight, it's noisy and doesn't last long but you can use it anytime you want to... Did I say it hears EVERYTHING? Yep... even the flashlight, even the small debris on the ground... everything is physics based like in other Frictional Games, so move things slowly, carefully.
The atmosphere is just depressing. WW1 bunker with dead bodies, generator with little fuel, a freakin' monster that you can defend against but can't kill, yeah you have gun and grenades and stuff, VERY limited number and inventory management is key here. ONE safe room, no auto saves. Highest difficulty is the most stressful experience I've ever head. I though Alien: Isolation can't be topped, but this game did.
To be fair, it's a short game, depends on how many minutes you spend on changing pants and sitting in a corner crying.
It has mod support, coming with the modding tools, also Steam Workshop is enabled too.
Amazing game, Frictional Games topped their previous games in term of horror. Yes, SOMA was an absolute masterpiece in its genre. Yes, the original Amnesia was fantastic and still is. This game clearly is on the lower budget side but also the price tag is much lower than usual too. Incredible experience, a must play for horror fans. Even if you don't have a powerful system, this runs on potato too. Try it, experience true horror and fear and panic and stress. This game will make you get 10 year older in 1 hour. TERRIFYING.

(yes, the Bunker was 'based' on the fortress from Rebirth, but it's drawn worse and directed worse)
Developers, you took a really bad idea from Alien:Isolation - teleporting an "alien" onto the player, well, ok. But WTF do you take THE WORST idea from there - to tie-an-alien-to-the-location the player is in?!! Why ruin a good game??? Why.

The best gameplay from Frictional games. It's playing like an 8/10 game until the Ghoul passes through the tripwire right in front of your eyes.
