I really enjoyed The Curse of the Pharaohs, because it was a lot of fun to explore the brand new map. The team at Ubisoft really outdid themselves with how beautiful the Afterlife looked, and the new enemy types.
Curse of the Pharaohs is an expansion with full game flavor. An unbeatable level of quality/price ratio that we did not see since Blood & Wine for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt or Hot Wheels for Forza Horizon 3.

Beautiful, weird, odd but I’m all the right ways. This DLC does something different and excels at it. Definitely worth the $25 by far! An extra 20 hours for that price? That’s bascially $1 an hour.

Adds quite well to the game. Interesting new story, long-ish campaign and nice bit of new story. I liked this expansion more than I liked the original game and after finishing this expansion, I returned back to the original game map to do secondary quests.

The Curse of the Pharaohs is a big improvement from its previous DLC, The Hidden Ones, with great battles and unique topics. Still it misses some opportunities to expand the Origins' universe.
There are 12 hours or so of content in The Curse of the Pharaohs, and while it isn't all good, the pieces that are good, are very good. So good, in fact, that it takes Assassin's Creed Origins and puts it on par - or even ahead! - of Black Flag for best Assassin's Creed game of all time.
Assassin's Creed Origins: Curse of the Pharaohs is a great expansion that does a fantastic job of bringing ancient Egypt's spiritual side to life. Channelling the creativity of a clearly talented team, the DLC breaks the series' historical shackles and provides a memorable adventure packed with cool boss encounters. Curse of the Pharaohs is right up there with the best that Ubisoft's franchise has to offer.
With the Curse of the Pharaohs, Ubisoft finally delivers a strong DLC which plays the fantastic card to push the series forward. Yes, the adventure stills uses the same tricks and twists used a thousand times before, but the beautiful Thebes and After-Life visuals will make the 20-hour long series of events fly in the blink of an eye.
New surroundings and a twist to the story are exactly what Assassin's Creed Origins needed.

The Curse Of The Pharaohs is not a bad DLC. There is a lot of content, especially pleased with the appearance of not only the new location of Thebes, but also several new locations from other worlds. Unfortunately, DLC does not expand the lore of Assassin's Creed series in any way. Content in DLC for 15-20 hours.

I absolutely hated Assassin's Creed: Origins. Every minute of the ridiculously padded out grindtastic 183 quests. Origins was a monstrosity of a shell of an Assassin's Creed game. Taking everything that make it Assassin's Creed (stealth, precursors, plot) out and replacing it with RPG.
I played the dlc purely because I had it, and The Hidden Ones was more of the same. However, The Curse Of The Pharaos is everything Origins wanted to be. A full-on RPG with mythical elements and grandeur.
Whilst The Curse Of the Pharaos isn't really for me, I can't completely appreciate what it is and say it as great for what it was. Something I can never say for Origins. Although the side quests are still garbage.
One thing to note is the inclusion of discovery tour mode, a cool idea, a walking museum audio tour. I think it's a cool idea and one I wished was added to any assassins creed remaster of prior games, it'd be even berrter in vr.

With this DLC, Origins has really overstayed its welcome. A big new map filled with the samey locations and quests, only this time there is backtracking across the map for the main quest (sure you can fast travel but I can only fire so many arrows in the loading screen). By the time you max out all your upgradeable gear the game is over and you don't need it, although you may be sick of overpowering enemies anyway. The story makes no sense. I wish I had stopped with the base game, which I thoroughly enjoyed. At least I have learned a valuable lesson to stay away from DLC in the future.
