Batman has had many games over the years, mostly trash and a few quite memorable. Telltale Games has knocked it out of the park, and if episode one is any indication, I see a solid contender for Game of the Year right here.

The Bruce Wayne sections help develop the plot and present the player with dialogue choices that will pull their allegiance in one way or another. While the Batman sequences truly typify the character, highlighting both his skills as a detective and a tactician.

An adventure game centered on the narrative with an interesting plot that is faithful to the spirit of Batman. A game that allows us to better know Bruce Wayne in his role of night watchman and member of high society.

Telltale has done a good job with Batman, but it failed to surprise us. We have a solid foundation, but they need to work harder to make it something as good as you would expect from this studio and the Dark Knight.

Telltale more than anything manages to capture what it's like to be Bruce Wayne. It does an admirable attempt at capturing what it's like to be Batman too, but ultimately falls a bit short due to the limitations of the chosen format.

Batman: The Telltale Series is off to a strong, if very basic, start. It shows promise of the ability to be more than just another Batman story, though Realm of Shadows did dabble in the ultra accessible exposition more than I (or just about any other Batman fan) would have liked.

A disappointing start to what should be a potential rich concept, with an overfamiliar storyline and bland presentation.

But if you like this kind of modern visual novels thats not a bad thing. The storytelling is good and the characterization spot on. This is Batman as he should be. If you liked "The Wolf among us", "The Walking Dead" or "Tales from the Borderlands" and if you are a fan of the Dark Knight, this is a definitive recommendation for you. Enjoy. Expand

The whole Episode 1 was amazing a few bugs here and there but didn't ruin the experience for me. As it is a telltale game i loved the choose your own story type thing that they do with Walking Dead and the others and i wouldn't think the game would have been the same if it wasn't made by telltale. I loved the portrayal for Batman/Bruce Wayne and cant wait for Episode 2. Overall a amazing game and keep it up and can't wait for Episode 2 Expand

PS:I know that for some people is running poorly(especially in Xbox and PC) but for me in Ps4 it run perfectly and I didn't found nothing weird or run slow.

The Good: very good improved gameplay with replayable variables; new kind of story in Batman's universe.

The bad: I didn't really feel characterized with Bruce/Batman, probably because he is a protagonist known worldwide for almost a century, very different of protagonists of previous games ; mostly of the choices only affect Bruce/Batman's reputation.

Conclussion: i hope next episodes have choices more difficult to select.

    CONS:
-brah, get a new engine already.
    -rather by the books
-Feels like a cheap imitation of batman. That or maybe I am sick of hearing about his dead parents. IT HAPPENED 30 YEARS AGO BRUCE! GET OVER IT!

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Telltale holding up the mantle of Batman after Rocksteady doesn't look very interesting. The story is to repetitive and dull, boring. It constantly just keeps on mentioning Bruce's dead parents. Second, unlike any Telltale game before, if you fail the prompt nothing happens, in the Wolf among us if you fail a prompt it affects the story, as for this it doesn't, the only thing is that your special move meter won't fill up. Third, the choices i make don't seem to be making a difference at all, i played this episode twice and tried different approaches and nothing different is happening, if you're nice to Falcone or not the whole Wayne conspiracy thing still happens. The only choices that feel like they're gonna make a difference is talking to Catwoman, i just took the nice ones in hopes that you get the chance to sleep with her in some point at the game. Expand
