Overall, Blazblu Chronophantasma Extend is a must for anyone who is into their fighting games and this is right up there with anything on the PS4.

Otherwise, BlazBlue remains the slick, fast, competitive and vibrant fighting game that we saw in previous versions.

Even though it stands as more of a refinement over its immediate predecessor than a genuine leap, this latest entry in the BlazBlue series stays true to form by overwhelming players with a deliciously deep combat system, brilliant cast of characters and a veritable avalanche of content.

Those who already own Chrono Phantasma can probably wait a bit, but if you’re new to the franchise, there is no better jumping off point than this game.

Simply put, one of the best 2D fighting games for PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and even PS Vita consoles. A magnificent game in every aspect.

While there's little to recommend upgrading from the PlayStation 3 version of the game, BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Extend is a confident execution of a title that knows its strengths.

It's the same brick wall of a problem Netherrealm Studios has been running into since Mortal Kombat vs. DC, of trying to add depth where it's mostly unnecessary.

Fun fight mechanics... Terrific fighting game. The story mode, as with the other Blazblue games, is quite interesting and doesn't feel like a chore to get through. The graphics continue the Blazblue tradition of "sprite-based" characters, which is gives it its own unique visual charm. Even though this is one of my worst fighting games (in terms of skill, which I lack), it is an absolute blast to play. Expand

It's not a lie that it's the same with the other 2 blazblue games but that doesn't matter at all. Blazblue has an amazing story and an interesting fighting system I manage to put 130 hours in all three of them and I enjoyed every single minute of it. The cons are that you have to play the other 2 blazblue games to understand the story and that the end of blazblue is not yet revealed so if you love the story just like me you will have to buy the next blazblue when it is out. All in all I think blazblue is a great game and a god damn cheep one if you ask me all three of them cost 60$ so if you should go out and buy this game now even if you don't like fighting games the story is more than enough for you Expand

On the other hand, the visual novel is great and I enjoyed a lot to go through all the arcs. The characterr design is great and there are a lot of them too. Maybe this is a review more based on the fact that this is my first Blazblue game played, but honestly, I think that is you already played any other of this saga, you could not expect actually bigger improvements on the gameplay, which is great. I gave this game an 8/10 on Playstation 3 mostly because it didn't offer much to those that have owned the original version. However, this is the first game from the BlazBlue series on the Playstation 4, and if you love fighting games, you owe it to yourself to buy this game.

For Playstation 4 and Xbox One owners, you're getting the definitive version of BlazBlue as the first title from the series. The gameplay is extremely flashy, stylistic, fast & engaging. The characters are all unique and very fun to play as. The visuals are beautiful and the music is absolutely fantastic, easily being one of the best soundtracks in a fighting game.

The story mode takes some getting used to, but it's engrossing once you do. It's very lengthy, being about as long as a Zelda game in length, and very well voice acted.

One of the best parts about this game is that it has an excellent tutorial mode that explains pretty much everything you need to know about not just the game, but fighting games in general. It explains what a mix-up is, it explain what a wake up is, it explains the advanced stuff of a fighting game and the challenges mode teaches you how to do the combos for each character.

There really isn't much wrong when it comes to this game other then the balancing being a bit skewed, and the story being a bit tough to swallow, but overall, Chrono Phantasma is a fantastic game and one of the best 2D fighting games on a console to date.

Go, go crazy Japanese game. Well actually BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma isn't that crazy of a game as it is a ridiculous title. This is the thirdGo, go crazy Japanese game. Well actually BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma isn't that crazy of a game as it is a ridiculous title. This is the third game in the series and the first I have played. Hello gaming internet B-rod here with one of those wacky reviews that I don't think will be very long because well fighting games don't take a lot to explain honestly. I'll let you all know I didn't spend more than 8 hours with this game so if I missed something I do apologize if I missed some detail, or gameplay element.

This is a fighting game with an actual story. Some may argue that Street Fighter or Tekken has a story, but I mean it has a story mode like Mortal Kombat. Unlike Mortal Kombat this games story doesn't feature much in the realm of gameplay. I played it for over an hour and I didn't fight once. This bugged me because I was enjoying the story I was told, but I want to play a game not just watch still characters talk to each other while it tells me that action happened. The story is complex and cool, and if this was an anime I would definitely watch it, which says a lot because I typically do not care for anime. If what I say isn't an issue for you then the story mode is something to check out, from what I saw it was fairly compelling with some weird as **** characters.

The games looks good. The character design is cool and interesting Japanese. There is weird stupid Japanese that has characters with dumb as **** hair and zippers everywhere and interesting Japanese where it has that **** but it looks cool. The game does have some female characters that are a bit over sexualized and they do some fan service but nothing extreme. The game is a colorful cartoony 2D fighting game which is a nice change in pace from the 3D that has been the hoopla for a while. The voice acting isn't bad. Unlike most anime style of games this ones voice acting didn't get on my nerves. It had the over acting and characters who had the world's most annoying voice, but it wasn't bad at all nor that irritating.

The gameplay is a fairly well balanced fighting game. They had an interesting counter mechanic in it where it will stop a combo and allow the opponent to do one. The game didn't have anything special to it in the way of originality it the fighting. This felt much like an old school Street Fighter with a little more flashy lights. The characters weren't the most unique in the fighting styles; sure there were obvious differences but nothing that popped out to me. The game has a large cast of character to play with and in arcade mode they kinda get a smaller more contained story which I thought was cool. There were other game modes I didn't touch, but that tells me for fighting fans there is enough to this game to keep fighting game fans happy.

Overall this was a fun very stress free fighting game. It has a interesting story as long as you don't mind a ton of talking with old style of fighting game mechanics that brings me back to the Sega Genesis. I enjoyed this game quite a bit but not enough to buy it. If you rent this game you'll have a fun weekend, but unless you know this series and enjoy it then I see no reason to ever own it. I give this a 3.5/5. Well gaming community I of course leave with a question. Who has played the first two games? Seriously I've never heard of this series before this game.

Unfortunately Blazblue series is marking time in one place. Its like every-year FIFA which has minor changes but same game anyway. PS4 editionUnfortunately Blazblue series is marking time in one place. Its like every-year FIFA which has minor changes but same game anyway. PS4 edition doesn't have a technical update and looks dissappointment. Still repetitive still boring soundtrack. If you play Blazblue CS Extend you definitely can skip this game. Expand

Blazblue has fallen so much over the year. It's not the once great title I remember. Chronophantasma is the weakest BB game
