hough it started as a mobile game the visuals good and it has a decent story. Some of the features from it being a mobile game make it a waiting game. Caravan Stories is MMORPG that has more of single player adventure feel to it.
Best game ever. I played the game till I made it to the village, and saw a dog and killed. That was the best time ever. I would only play it just to kill the dog over and over again lol
The game is all around wonderful it's greatly ported to PS4 as the mobile version in Japan the graphics are very detailed the frame rate is constant and there's never a dull moment yes you will hit snag from time to time because like any other great game there are many other players that game does have difficulty spikes can play as multiple races to play and it's basically a hero collector for PS4
Caravan Stories is a free to play sort of mmo/gacha/strategy/rpg and while its not exactly perfect or even that great, it carries a lot of charm in the setting, characters, and story around everything. There's no tutorial about things so it requires some researching but theres wikis that have been helping us out here. The only issue seems to be a lack of response or support from the devs for the NA server. Lots of issues still around from bluescreens, lag, broken quests, etc. Will it last im not sure but if you go into it with a simple mindset that its not all day or that it will break sometimes, you can have a good time playing casually
I've only played this game for 1 or 2 hours, so maybe this isn't quite a fair review, so my review might change later, but I felt in this short amount of time, I got a good grasp of the game and its mechanics and how it is overall.
Compared to other MMOs and even RPGs, I feel it's really simple and not as indepth, as it holds your hand like any other mobile/gacha game. It's riddled with gacha upgrades and quick achievements here and there to pump out the dopamine to make you feel good, but they are nothing but lots of empty achievements, just like what MMOs seem to be these days.
If I want to play a game that is gacha or mobile-like, then I personally would rather stick with one of the Final Fantasy ones since I'm a fan of the series or any RPG series I'm quite familar with and a fan of, instead of getting into one that is almost the same. I thought I might try this one to at least collect some PS4 trophies, but even then there's not a whole lot of trophies, and I managed to get all of them except 3 within that 1-2 hours of playing.
This MMO just makes me prefer paying a subscription fee and going back to Final Fantasy XIV instead or a real MMO. I suppose that's what you get for something that is mostly free though.
Despite all the negative feedback I gave, the game does deserve a bit of a higher score instead of my nitpicking for not being a fan of these kinds of games and the whole gacha/lottery system. The music sounds beautiful, and the art design is really interesting. The story seems decent enough so far, but it's too early to tell if it will get better.
This is something that can be played casually for half an hour or an hour here and there, but it doesn't seem like there will be anything hardcore in it, unless you want to open up your wallet and pay a lot into it.
For the first 30 hours I really enjoyed the game, the graphics, art style and character design is well done and it's my kind of game...however once you hit the grind wall when all the free stuff stops flowing in it becomes a chore to play because you're not really "playing" so much as you're frustrated trying to figure how you can possibly move ahead when there is no consistent way outside of purchasing resources with real world money and that's something I'm rarely willing to do with F2P games because it's a never ending cycle of more more more.
I do like the game though and if it were sold as a regular game without all the forced extreme grind I definitely would have purchased it.
