I can’t think of a better platformer released in the past several years. Crash 4: It’s About Time is an absolute must buy and it’s truly about time that Activision returned Crash to his former glory. Hopefully we don’t have to wait another 20 years before we get another sequel.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is the perfect distillation of classic gameplay, and modern gaming demands. It is full to bursting with content, things to earn and masses of replayability. Though its difficulty may be too high for some, it’s definitely the best Crash Bandicoot has ever been and deserves its place alongside the original trilogy. A classic modernised and a modern classic.

Crash Bandicoot 4 is following the footsteps of the original trilogy and enriches its content by bringing new gameplay mechanics and by offering a great challenge.

Although the game has some flaws, Crash 4 is a joy to play thanks to a great deal of content. The platforming action will bring a smile to your face, no matter if you're a fan from back in the day or if this is your first Crash title.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time has everything that made Naughty Dog's original trilogy one of the most popular game series of the second half of the 90's. The same addictive gameplay is mixed with new elements we have not seen before in the series. The result is an adventure that we continue to play long after the final scenes have rolled by.

It’s a shame, then, that some of the level design choices don’t really pair up with the engine Toys for Bob has built this love-letter to 90s platforming games in. Loose and floaty physics, an abundance of different mechanics that often feel part-baked, and some design choices that feel sadistic – rather than simply difficult – leave this approach to Crash Bandicoot feeling less like a true sequel, and more like a licensed spin-off.

Not only is the game the best Crash Bandicoot game and a game that is a worthy follow up to the original trilogy of games, but it alsoNot only is the game the best Crash Bandicoot game and a game that is a worthy follow up to the original trilogy of games, but it also competes with the N Sane Trilogy for title of best Crash game. Like seriously the game is just that good. This is what people wanted but never got out of a Crash sequel to the trilogy. It is bigger and better. There is just so much content here that getting to full completion will not be easy but a lot of fun will be had along the way. Now the game isn't perfect but it is still lots of fun and my personal favourite Crash game. My only real issues would be the colour contrast in some levels isn't the best making certain things hard to see and the fact that the relics can be very hard to get for the average player but other than that the game is lots of fun. The game is certainly a challenge, but every play through of a level just makes you better and better at it to where you will eventually be able to master the whole level. I would highly recommend this game, Its awesome. Expand

Everything about the new crash reminds me of the old school crash growing up. The nostalgia is breathtaking.

3rd time changing review: I wanted to put 4 stars to Crash Bandicoot 4 while playing middle/end game levels, but:

Dis game is so Beautiful and so damn Hard! Some times difficulty is so hard that you want put your arm and throw it in a TV. Why? Because levels are huge, and you have to die alot of times (8-99,9 deaths to end one level), and you didn't know where is danger, you don't see sometimes(almost all the time) danger moments and have to VERY learn each level for just to simple end one level. So, in CB4 you can easily achieve Rage quits and etc. You are getting tired fast and some times getting bad mood after game. But if you achieve your mood will be good!) I had master league in SC2, but dis difficulty in that game some times just really insane + there are still some little issues with controlling comparing to difficulty.

First levels are fun and chill (Developers are trolls =]), but middle end and very end levels are insanly hard - masochistly Fun! Yes you can end game, it's real even in Retro mode, but you can forget about platinum, or mb not...(thoughs about c**tex c*s*l

Game is beautifull itself, cartoon graphics/gameplay/sound/abilities - very good. Just Great! But absurd difficulty some times may ruining expirience in my opinion (it's platformer for kids right or...?). So the game is 8.9/10 because of The Difficulty. I don't know recomend it for kids 8-12 years or not... guess not... Nerves.. broken gamepads and etc(on boxes must be written "Absolutely not for children" or "16+" or "21+" or "not for ppls with mental health problems", because game itself want you to suffer...). I guess Nsane trilogy is better for kids: more fun-calming and human freindly...) CB4 in 3 trimes harder than N'sane trilogy if to compare.

Any Way The Game is Beautiful and so damn Hard a la Dendi platformer styles with alot of Fun, i would say alot of different kind of Fun..)

I don't really count that though because that's a racing game instead of one of the traditional platformers in the series. I do think that this is a very good game and a lot of hard work went into it but after I complete this game, I'm not sure I'll ever play it again. At least not a new playthrough. I love much of the level design and the abilities that the masks provide, and the game is just so colorful and nicely detailed. However, while I expect for a Crash game to be challenging, the level of frustration I'm feeling here makes me not want to play for any more than one level at a time. I don't want it to be too easy of a game but at the same time, I either find myself taking breaks or playing other games almost immediately. The new modern mode is appreciated for the simple fact that it allows for you to have unlimited lives but that still doesn't make the game any less annoying for me. But retro mode is there too. I barely get boxes as it is now because by the time I get to a certain point in the level, I've died so many times to where I don't care about getting the Collectibles. I just want to finish. I rate the game an 8 because the fact that it frustrates me doesn't make it a bad game. The quality is there and it lives up to what these games are known for if you ask me. But be warned. It'll stress you out. I'm embarrassed to say that a game can get me that worked up but this one definitely has. Expand

Si bien es cierto que el esfuerzo y dedicación del equipo de desarrollo se nota y se agradece, el juego es demasiado complicado e injusto, destacando algunos niveles que por culpa de las nuevas máscaras se hace muy frustrante. Game misses that looks that previous version hade, I mean level design and colors.
And the game is crazy hard from beginning. I've loose more than 30 lives on a second level. That is sucks. Stick to remastered trilogy. Way better and gives more fun. Sorry Activision but im not sorry. Well deserved 0/10.
