Dangerous Driving is a game about real driving. The sort of driving you want to do when no one else is looking. The sort of driving you’d love to do if only everyone else would get OUT OF THE DAMN WAY! This game gives you the chance to live out that fantasy. To floor it in everyday cars, at high speeds, weaving in and out of traffic and slamming the other cars right off the road. This is a game built in the spirit of the classic arcade racing games of the 80’s and 90’s. It’s about speed, driving skill and beautiful powerslides around epic corners. It’s also about all out aggression, instant retaliation and sweet, sweet revenge. The more dangerously you drive, the faster you can go. Expand

A brilliant spiritual successor to the Burnout series that we want to play instead of anything else. Worth 'working at home' for.

Though Dangerous Driving doesn't quite boast the budget it needs to properly do justice to the notion of bringing classic Burnout kicking and screaming onto contemporary systems, it absolutely does nail the fundamental core of that concept and in doing so provides both a highly enjoyable racer and an evocative blueprint for what developer Three Fields Entertainment will do next.

A massive breath of fresh air that also capitalizes on the nostalgia towards mid-2000s racing games.

Dangerous Driving is a decent effort to bring back the boisterous, fast-paced racing of Burnout, and while it somewhat delivers on that promise, it's not without its fair share of problems. Technical issues hinder the experience, and one or two issues with handling stop the game from being a top arcade racer. However, the chaos and tension within the various event types makes for some good, old fashioned, adrenaline-fuelled action, and fans of this breed of racing will likely be able to burn a few hours here.

Dangerous Driving simply isn't suited to a mode that won't let you crash. Patched out, or left optional, these wouldn't be enough to stop most from happily reliving Burnout's heyday; currently, however, it would be reckless to recommend. [Issue#332, p.118]

Dangerous Driving has some hiccups like momentary pauses in tunnels, rare unexpected car swerves (both yours and the A.I.), slowdown, and inconsistent crash determinations, but these aren’t even why the game misses its target. Previous Three Fields titles like the Danger Zone series and Dangerous Golf had a reason for their destruction, but I can’t find it in Dangerous Driving. The racing itself has some thrills due to its sometimes insane sense of speed, but neither it nor the crashes make their mark.

Though it’s abundant in hyper-realistic visuals, that isn’t enough to disguise its lack of polish in almost every other way.

But for people that never played old Burnout games, the feeling is for a unfinished game with a lot of bugs and weird physics.

Ok, we're not talking about a car simulator game but this game take the "Arcade Game" title too serious.

Tha bad points about this game are the physics (as I mentioned above), for example, at one point of the game I saw that I'll collide with a traffic car, the car miraculously slipped to other side. In some gameplays that I watched, the car bounces when they fly and hit the floor, like a ping pong ball. Another bad point it's the lack of music (ok, I have a Spotify Premium Account but I can say that I learned to like the music that I like today with Burnout songs), and some details like when (in Burnout's games) the car crashes, the musics immediately stops, in Dangerous Driving, the music still playing. In the last bad point I can mention that the car don't really damage when hit, they just get some doors opened and kneaded.

And as good points I can mention the the speed is insane like Burnout games (sometimes speeder), the action it's outstanding, Takedowns are really easy to do but the game is totally challenging, sometimes with a single hit you can give up your gold medal. The scenarios are really beatifuls but I miss some urban maps.

But most of all, one thing that really impress me it's that Three Fields Entertaiment made this game with a few programmers and resources. They looked at this people that miss these Arcade Games and focused on them. I know that they will improve and fix these bugs or make a Dangerous Driving 2 (like Danger Zone 2 that it's MUCH BETTER than Danger Zone 1) but the simple fact that they have this initiative it's really impressive.

Rather than start out with an homage to Burnout 1, a fairly straightforward arcade racer with comparably little spectacle, Three FieldsRather than start out with an homage to Burnout 1, a fairly straightforward arcade racer with comparably little spectacle, Three Fields attempted to recreate the mechanics of three entire Burnout games with Dangerous Driving. Given the small team size, it‘s not surprising that the game sometimes falls apart at the seams under the weight of this ambition. The game‘s often glitchy nature can lead to frustration when wonky collision detection robs you of a hard-earned victory. But the market for Burnout-style arcade racing has undoubtedly been underserved in recent years and thankfully Dangerous Driving’s exhilarating sense of speed and wanton destruction is enough to satiate that appetite. I can say if you miss Burnout then pick up this game because it is Burnout in everything but name alone. It is a fun experience but I got tired of the crashes and racing way quicker than I thought I would. Unfortunately games like Onrush exist and do the formula better. Regardless I think that this game isn't terrible but would make for a solid RENTAL. Expand

The visuals are mediocre, also on PS4 Pro but at least runs at 60 fps. It looks and feels better on PC. Also, this game has too less from almost all aspects of a modern arcade racing game today. I really like the nitro speed rush, but thats quite not enough.

+1 rating added for supporting HDR (still not optimized for HDR but basically supported)
