If you want to visit Lordran and enjoy a straight-up bash-the-baddies quest, then you’ll find no better collection of bosses than this. If a new kind of adventure appeals, however, one in which quick fingers matter less than brains and human cunning, there’s still nothing like Dark Souls. After seven years its mystery has diminished, but it’s still among the best of the best.
Dark Souls Remastered is still a masterclass in level design, and it remains the pinnacle of third-person action games. Longtime fans will be pleased with the improved performance on both consoles and PC. And if you’re a newcomer wondering if you should get your feet wet with this entry, the answer is an absolute, resounding ‘Yes.’
This game is a masterpiece even know my checks were clapped thousands of times with me not being able sit for a whole week and I also had to s*** Sideways for a whole moth on top of that but never the less it bring tears to my eyes each time I play it and anyone who use the easy mod on this game the should *** in a ditch
One of the best games in history, the bosses are perfect, the areas are the best in the saga, the music is the most emblematic, the final boss is perfect, and the lore of the game is amazing
I guess, when it comes down to it, I was one of those optimists that was hoping for a real transformation that would make Dark Souls feel truly new again. Remaster doesn't do that, but from the vast number of players that are putting down their summons signs, a lot of new players are diving into this incredible game or maybe like me, easing back into that familiar rhythm. Dark Souls Remastered doesn't do anything but give us the best version of one of the best games ever made.
If you’ve played Dark Souls before then there isn’t really anything in this version of the game that makes for a compelling reason to part with your cash. The term ‘Remastered’ implies that a great amount of work has gone into this release, and although it’s a definite improvement – especially with regards to the frame rate – it isn’t extraordinary.
Rather than a remaster, it's a port. It will entertain mainly rock fans who want to have a complete collection on a new console or complete Souls novices. [Issue#287]

the first game and the most uninteresting and stuffy, in any case, if it had not gained popularity, there would have been no continuation so its decent, DS 3 is tripple better
Dark souls remastered is an okay release how ever it has gotten several issues. The remaster still left countless bugs and glitches like soul duplications, easy cheese strats and skips. They could have taken the time to fix some of these Moving on to the game itself I personally didn't like some of Dark souls features. Like the huge lack of warp locations. I can't think of any reason why they had so few of these. You end up having to sometimes walk several minutes just go to a level you need to revisit after beating it already? Sometimes there is hole areas without a single warp location yet other areas there is 2. It's tedious and annoying. Especially when your previous game had a decent amount of them. A few of the levels on dark souls I'm really not a fan of and not for the difficulty. I hate when games have invisbke floors. It looks like a bug that hasn't been patched. And you get MSG's in the game anyway so you can tell where they are if someone has wrote on them. It's just a cheap way to add difficulty. And another level where it's so dark even with the brightness on the game and TV ramped up to max you still can't see anything. So you can be walking as slow as possible hit a ledge then fall. It's extremely frustrating. It's like a hooror movie with crappy cheap jump scares instead of designing something that is scary without making you jump. That takes really good design and creative thinking. From software is capable in this as when you goto Demon Souls the prison was a great map. Or even the dlc in dark souls where those ghost things are. Dark souls is no doubt a good game. With a decent variety in spells. Loads of weapons and great bosses. But certain levels were just poorly designed and lack of warping location's means allot of tedious messing around.
SummaryRe-experience the critically acclaimed, genre-defining game that started it all. Beautifully remastered, return to Lordran in stunning detail. DARK SOULS: REMASTERED includes the main game plus the Artorias of the Abyss DLC.
