"Far Cry New Dawn shares a lot of great similarities with Far Cry 5, but it’s the minor tweaks that allow it to stand as its own title. With so much to do, so many places to explore, and a post-apocalyptic world that is grounded in realism, there is no shortage of entertainment to be had in Hope County. While Mickey and Lou may not seem as threatening as previous instalments’ villains, they and the Highwaymen with their vibrant neon graffiti and motocross-influenced gear are definitely a force to be reckoned with. "Far Cry New Dawn is a worthy entry to the shooter franchise, but it’ll feel too familiar to fans, and not different enough to those who have been put off by the game’s most recent entries. It’s competently made, with flecks of dark humour and some great action sequences, but aside from a few interesting new mechanics and a fascinating new setting, Far Cry New Dawn is wider than it is deep, the kiss of death for shooter fans currently being swamped with new content. "Ubisoft has to be careful not to exploit the Far Cry franchise too much. New Dawn is an intermediate Far Cry, which will satisfy the fans waiting for the next major part, but it's nothing exceptional. Nice to play, but clearly not a must-have."

"The replayable Outposts and Expeditions are a blast (even moreso in co-op) and the mild RPG mechanics of base building is a great start, even if it needs to be expanded upon. However, in a larger sense, the adventure is brought down by a comparatively small size and cookie-cutter bad guys. I love this game! Far Cry 5 was amazing and the story continues in New Dawn.

I don’t understand why people are hating on this game. Because the map was reused? So what? This game is better than Farcry 5 was. It’s harderI don’t understand why people are hating on this game. Because the map was reused? So what? This game is better than Farcry 5 was. It’s harder to begin with,packed with rpg elements. Crafting is far superior than any of the previous games. Treasure hunts are awesome,driving feels much better. There are legendary guns,legendary animals,the enemy has ranks with much more defined health bars so you know what kind of damage your guns do on different rank enemies. Music is awesome,really gets you in the mood. Again,far superior to Farcry 5. Looting system is also more thought out since you need materials to craft weapons so you will go into buildings to discover because it will be worth it to find a gear for your next shotgun etc.. im playing on hard-ass mode and purposely didn’t get the binocular perk to make the game more challenging. Played about 6 hours without ever touching a story mission. Bottom line is,this game is the best in the series since Farcry 3. I guess people just looking for stuff to complain about these days. Already complaining about Farcry 6 before its even released because they can i guess..… Expand

Glad I didnt pay full price for this. I know it's a continuation of FC5 but its half the game. Yes there are new weapons and vehicles but theGlad I didnt pay full price for this.
