Regardless of what you want out of a soccer game, FIFA continues to deliver an incredible, all-around experience.
  2. Oct 2, 2018
I can’t think of a single FIFA game that brought about as many big changes to the series as much as FIFA 19 has.
  3. Sep 19, 2018
This is without a doubt the best football game of the year - potentially of all time. With great improvements to how you play, additional modes in FUT, the addition of the Champion's League, and visual enhancements in every mode, you'll find it hard to put the controller down.
  4. Sep 19, 2018
FIFA 19 is visually stunning, fun and deep. Aside from a few small issues, it delivers the goods and firmly establishes the latest version and the franchise as the one to beat in the virtual pitch wars.
  5. Sep 19, 2018
FIFA 19 represents a turning point and a huge leap from last year’s entry. There have been improvements on the gameplay, physics and the majority of the game modes, which proves that EA has been working to create a competitive game that manages to meet expectations.
  6. Oct 10, 2018
With the addition of the Champions League license, FIFA 19 is able to realistically portray the European soccer experience. Introduction scenes and team anthems will satisfy soccer fans without a doubt. Alex Hunter’s story also gets a conclusion in The Journey’s third season, and while it may be a classic success story, the dilemmas you have to face as Alex allow you to feel like you’re living the life of an actual soccer player.

The best FIFA’s been on current-gen in the purist’s sense, with Champions League implementation strengthening the game’s grip on the genre from a casual’s perspective too. [Issue#155, p.84]
  8. Oct 12, 2018
EA’s testament in delivering great football games continues with the edition of FIFA for the year 2018. Although some problems exist -like the annoying A.I. and the generic faces of some well known players- FIFA 19 is by far the richest and most complete football game to date.

More transformative features would've been nice, but this is still FIFA, and it's still superb. [Nov 2018, p.70]
  10. Sep 26, 2018
FIFA 19 is another great title in a long list of fine soccer experiences. The controls are smoother, the game modes are even more expansive, and UEFA integration means more chances to become a champion. A formidable upgrade for FIFA as a whole.
  11. Sep 25, 2018
With a fresh Champions League-licence, more realistic movements on the pitch and a slew of crazy new rulesets, FIFA 19 is one of the best instalments in the series we've seen in recent years.
  12. Sep 19, 2018
With superb visuals, FIFA 19 is strongly going on the arcade side of football, with a fast pace and gameplay mechanics that emphasize the show. Moreover the third opus of Alex Hunter's story is great. We are eagerly awaiting for his successor.
  13. Sep 19, 2018
FIFA completes a voyage to the very top, offering its best version with a superb gameplay and tons of quality modes to enjoy it.
  14. Sep 19, 2018
FIFA 19 is the richest football experience you ever had, but in terms of gameplay it can still improve.
  15. Sep 19, 2018
EA Sports continues to deliver a game full of options and content, fully licensed and tweaks its gameplay to make it one of the best entries so far.
  16. Sep 19, 2018
Ultimate Team has been made more appealing by a fairer and more rewarding structure, but it’s the gameplay changes that add fluidity, precision, and reliability to the play that make FIFA 19 the best game the series has seen this generation.
  17. 90
FIFA 19 is yet another crisp, clean, and innovative offering from EA. I’d say that this game is a lot more like FIFA 17 than 18 when it comes to shaking things up, however, which is definitely a good thing.
  18. Sep 19, 2018
The Champions League expands FIFA’s exhaustive selection of licences – but thanks to lessons learned last year there’s plenty to love out on the pitch, too.
  19. Oct 9, 2018
Compared with Pro Evolution Soccer 2019, FIFA 19 makes much more obvious progress, and I believe it's one of the finest games in the series.
  20. Sep 21, 2018
FIFA 19 is the best FIFA in years. The game has been improved on and off the pitch. Now with more Champions League!
  21. FIFA 18 was a great game (before game breaking updates), yet FIFA 19 is better. With detailed tactics, Champions League atmosphere and fine tuning to gameplay, EA Sports successfully exceeded our expectations.
  22. Sep 19, 2018
FIFA 19 does not reinvent the digital sport, but it is a step forward in some elements, such as the gameplay, the approach to football more realistic and a better artificial intelligence. The new modes, like rules free, are really fun and, in general, the fans of football will enjoy it. A lot.
  23. Sep 19, 2018
Increasingly richer in terms of game modes.
  24. Oct 3, 2018
FIFA 19 is a great game which can provide tons of fun with its huge number of modes. Champions League this year is the "icing on the cake" the series deserves.
  25. 86
Fun to play and with plenty of game modes (thumbs up for Ultimate Team and The Journey), FIFA 19 won't disappoint football fans.
  26. Mar 6, 2019
Champions League is here and with it, the system of first touch and contact with balls, which works great. All around, it's the best football simulation at the market.

    Feb 13, 2019
Great new modes, some minor changes making the game even more enjoyable, tons of licenses (Champions League!), spectacular presentation and the richest, most varied story mode yet make FIFA 19 an excellent entry in the series. [12/2018, p.62]
  28. Oct 11, 2018
Despite some major flaws (lack of changes in the career mode, some license mishaps and others) FIFA 19 is pretty much the best game in the series. Authentic European finals will astound every fan of virtual football and the perfect House Rules mode provided some truly excellent fun.
  29. Oct 5, 2018
FIFA 19 shows that sometimes it’s not all about reinventing the game so much as it is about making improvements to what already works so well. FIFA 19 is probably the best FIFA to date, but EA will not want to repeat the tweak-performance next time out.
  30. Oct 1, 2018
Improved physics and new animations make this year's FIFA more realistic than ever before.
  31. Sep 26, 2018
FIFA 19 is the materialization of years of experience to provide a fun experience that responds to the needs of the simulation. Although some details of the physics engine will have yet to be refined, and the implementation of some game systems improved, this new installment of the series has surpassed the previous edition. With FIFA 19, the 2018-2019 season will be a great year for fans of football games and it cannot be denied that everything is going the right way.
  32. Sep 25, 2018
With the addition of the Champions League and improved gameplay mechanics, it provides enough realism to its presentation while still being fun to play.
  33. Sep 25, 2018
In general FIFA 19 came to sweep in almost all fields in which it competes with PES 2019, without this meaning that it is better game. For the fans it will be a great experience and for those who have just arrived, they will find a very complete product that will give them hours of fun.
  34. Sep 19, 2018
FIFA 19 continues being brilliant off the pitch, but this iteration also contains some really interesting gameplay enhancements for the soccer itself. Not a revolutionary game, but a nice evolution for the series.
  35. Sep 19, 2018
We're giving FIFA 19 the exact same rating as Diego Costa, since their styles are very similar. Clinical, sometimes a bit blunt with some dirty manners, but ultimately helming the skill that draws you to the stadium.
  36. Sep 19, 2018
With a plethora of new modes and some significant gameplay tweaks that make ball control more convincing, FIFA 19 is a distinct improvement upon last year's effort.

A season of fun ideas and great presentation. [Issue#206, p.76]
  38. Oct 8, 2018
Is FIFA 19 better than FIFA 18? The answer is yes. There is no doubt about that. But what if we ask a harder question? If FIFA 19 as good as it should have been? The answer is probably no, but it’s very likely that the game will be more than enough for some people.
  39. Oct 5, 2018
FIFA 19 is a great game, packed with plenty of detail. It isn’t a huge step forward in terms of raw gameplay, but the sheer amount of stuff to do will mean you keep coming back for more.
  40. Oct 3, 2018
FIFA has its ups and downs, going through years when the company seems to care more about swaying grass and and player celebrations than tactics or responsiveness. Happily, FIFA 19 is one of the good ones.
  41. Oct 1, 2018
Gameplay has improved from last year's iteration and that is great news for all FIFA players. EA really seems like it's finalizing it's formula which makes FIFA 19 a great game. Though visually very strong, player's likenesses are mostly limited to the biggest football stars. The lesser football gods are somewhat randomized which is a shame if you're a fan of smaller clubs. Apart from that minor gripe, FIFA 19 is a solid game which doesn't do anything new.
  42. 80
When it comes to modes and features, FIFA 19 merely tweaks the formula rather than going full on Tinkerman with it but if you want an almost perfect simulation of football, EA deliver once again.
  43. Sep 28, 2018
FIFA 19 falls short of crowning EA the title of undisputed champion of the soccer world, though it’s the right stepping stone for the next installment to be bold enough to push the franchise in a new direction.
  44. 80
Despite the lack of career mode improvements, FIFA 19 is a faithful representation of the sport we know and love, complete with unparalleled bells and whistles. But it falls a bit short of the mark of being the definitive experience we had hoped for this year.
  45. Sep 28, 2018
FIFA 19 feels like the culmination of the last few years of FIFA games, and not just from the conclusion of The Journey’s interwoven story. The Champions League gives EA the opportunity to show their presentation skills and bed in a new commentary partnership, a shakeup for the main online set up of Ultimate Team, and the surprisingly fun new Kick Off mode. Some new ideas don’t quite come together, but there’s a reason why FIFA is the biggest game in town.
  46. Sep 27, 2018
Truly egregious commentary aside, FIFA 19 is another winner for EA Sports. The improvements over last year's entry are subtle but many, resulting in a footie sim that feels incredibly refined. Better balance across the pitch opens options for more tactical play, and there's more nuance to explore than ever before. More casual FIFA players may not see the difference immediately, but there's a deliberate intricacy to FIFA 19, and it's enough to keep the series in top form.
  47. Sep 26, 2018
Fifa 19 is a true simulation of modern football: brash and bloated yet also slickly professional; sometimes it drives you crazy with its cynicism, others it almost makes you weep with its beauty. And it truly knows how mixed-up and daft it is.
  48. Sep 23, 2018
EA Vancouver has added just enough to keep things ticking along. The gameplay cuts down on predictability, providing a layer of freshness to the familiar and producing a squad that can compete – but is also in danger of missing a Champions League spot.
  49. 80
The changes to gameplay, addition of house rules to kick-off mode and refinements to Ultimate Team make this an improvement on last year, and the third chapter of The Journey is the deepest yet. But fans of the old-fashioned career mode will continue to be disappointed.
  50. Sep 19, 2018
One of the most important iterations to date.
  51. Sep 19, 2018
The highs and lows of football are all here, and EA has pulled out (most of) the stops to provide a unique, utterly gleeful soccer game that leaves room for improvement but also serves as a new career best for the FIFA series.
  52. 80
FIFA 19 is really solid overall with what feels like more changes than we've seen in the last few years combined.
  53. Sep 19, 2018
EA has made some additions and changes for the better that you notice immediately.
  54. Sep 19, 2018
Time will tell if FIFA 19’s new gameplay additions serve to lift the franchise above the arcade-sim hybrid that it’s turned into in recent years, but its stunning lack of game mode changes is disappointing. The decision to completely overhaul the Kick-Off mode while having mostly ignored Pro Clubs and Career Mode for years will have me scratching my head for some time. But having said that, EA Sports has got the most important bit right: the game feels drastically different. This isn’t a FIFA 18.5, and that’s more than can be said about many other yearly titles even outside the sports genre – a reality that EA Sports should be commended for.
  55. Oct 11, 2018
FIFA 19 is a rather rudimentary refresh for the soccer sim series, one that offers slightly retooled gameplay and plenty to do in FUT, but doesn't feel all that exciting. For the first time this console generation, it's an annual entry that's probably safe to skip for casual fans.
  56. Oct 12, 2018
FIFA 19 in a nutshell is a very good, sometimes great game that looks the part but suffers from a couple of maddening decisions that completely take you out of it.
  57. Oct 22, 2018
All in all, FIFA 19 is a good game, it distinguishes itself from its competition (PES) by being slower with an emphasis on tactics, but it doesn't give us a lot more than last year's game.
  58. Sep 19, 2018
Fifa 19 is a game that aims to please the casual public more than the expert one. By including some fast new moves and by redesigning some game modes, EA brings more dynamism to the formula.
  59. Sep 19, 2018
Fifa 19 is a very complete game, but we are not sure about its course. Instead of pointing out some nuances in soccer or making it a better esports game, the game has used the same limited gameplay mechanics for three years.
  60. Oct 1, 2018
It finally had to come to this: Where Konami’s competition stagnates in terms of mode selection here you get a lot of content but hardly any progress on the pitch.
  61. Oct 18, 2018
If EA wanted FIFA 19 to be a reconstruction, the final result is a nice try but not enough. It’s a good football game, It’s funny with its arcade touch which is really attractive. The new licenses of Champions League and Europa league with lots of Leagues around the world. The scenarios, the display of all around the football world is amazing, but the execution lacks in realism. But we can’t expect It from EA for the moment. They sell a fun football game, with some realistic touches, and that’s what millions of players buy. That’s all. And that’s enough.
  62. Nov 21, 2018
Taken as the sum of its parts, FIFA 19 is the most complete and beautiful soccer game around. Upon closer inspection, the latest entry doesn't shine as brightly. There are some admittedly great additions to this year's offering, but they don't add enough to the game to make it worthwhile for returning players who are invested in single-player content.
  63. Sep 28, 2018
It's promising that EA is listening to its community. FIFA 19 is much more responsive on the pitch than last year, and the company continues to evolve FUT to keep it fresh. However, the lack of progress in Career Mode and Pro Clubs is sorely inadequate. Thankfully, The Journey's continued entertainment, FUT's long-lasting nature, and some inventive new Kick Off modes mean I'll likely still be playing FIFA 19 by the time next year's game rolls around.
  64. 70
After many hours spent with FIFA 19, I can confidently say it is a really good game - probably the best in the series. The biggest concern for those trying to decide whether to buy or not is how much the minor incremental increases of the FIFA 18 release really matter.
  65. Sep 19, 2018
Is the gameplay fun? Sure, but it’s largely the same as last year. Career mode gets Champions League branding but nothing else noteworthy. Pro Clubs and Seasons get ignored. The Journey is fun, but cannot make up for the rest of the largely ignored modes.
  66. Sep 19, 2018
Yes, FIFA 19 is largely the same game you got last year, especially if you don’t care about the campaign mode, The Journey. That said, it reliably delivers the excellent soccer simulation fans are looking for. While the new features don’t compliment what’s already there, they also don’t hinder an otherwise solid experience. Those who start playing FIFA 19 will find it very difficult to stop.
  67. Jan 2, 2019
With initial excitement having died down a few months after the game's release, FIFA 19 stands exposed for what it is: another recycled iteration of a franchise that sorely needs refreshing. Both off the pitch and on it, FIFA 19 is a hollow experience, yet another broken promise and a slap in the face of what we have come to expect from good game development. To truly compete in the gaming arena, FIFA must lace its boots and pull up its socks if it is to achieve what it too lazily sets out to each year.

Gameplay wise, I think it's a marked improvement over FIFA 18. I love the new modes, the new quality of life touches and even tiny changes such as being able to quickly sort cards you get from packs.
  2. Sep 26, 2018
FIFA 19’s selling points may be subtle or incremental but, again, that’s because the bedrock of this game has been so deep and so strong, for so long, that its makers can work on nice-to-haves like the first touches, how 50-50 balls are won and lost, more real-life stadiums, or the broadcast presentation for Spain’s La Liga. Or maybe it’s because, having served nearly every need and expectation over the past eight or nine years, that’s all that’s left for them to work on.
  3. Sep 25, 2018
FIFA 19 is better than FIFA 18 in almost every way, and it’s more fun to play than any other football game right now.

Manager mode used to be EA's pride, but the same garbage B.S put forward in Fifa and Madden, this Ultimate Team garbage needs to F-OH.

You need to understand your customers, and from what I'm seeing online is that the majority are pretty pissed off that you've just about **** on everyone that plays manager mode (which is likely over 80% of FIFA players).

Terrible. You've lost many loyal FIFA customers including me with this pathetic release. You've got alot to make up for in 2020, if you even plan to.

It manipulates young kids to spend real moany to get a competitive advantage in a game rigged to ensure that you are matched with someone who has a better team than you just because they spent cash. the fact that they stop the weekly championship in FIFA 18 even though we paid for it is a proof of their manipulation tactics because they know that this competition is where the money is and want to make sure that the players move to the next FIFA trap.
it is actually amazing that an organization like Fifa which promote "Fair Play" allow its name to be associated with an organization known for its greedy and manipulative tactics regardless of the age of its customers. I guess their values are only used to decorate their executive office walls and have no place in the real world.
    Shame on you Fifa.
Exposing children to gambling like microtransaction system is unforgivable and take greed to a completely new level. hope that the regulators take serious action against companies like EA.
