Every time I could find something to enjoy in Flynn & Freckles it would quickly be overshadowed by a frustrating platforming sequence, mundane level design, or one of the many rage-inducing bugs that would ultimately result in my death. The character design and colorful world all have promise, but it's evident that something when wrong along the way.

It's very good for an indie game, it's entertaining and they even worked on the collectibles, I like it despite the Bugs

3D Platformers are my favorite video genre other than Telltale type games. But, this F&F is really just a mediocre experience.
The Good: Graphics are reminiscent of PS2-era. I know it's not for everyone but it's nostalgic for me at least. The story is standard for the genre.
The Bad: The game is pretty mediocre and that's all that I would have to say about it besides a few things. It's pretty easy to get lost especially in one level where everything looks a like. Also, F&F is really glitchy, past the normal. I wouldn't call it broken I didn't really run into any on-screen problems besides being spawned in the wrong area after a death but whatever. And...
The Ugly: The controls, my God. What should have been a mediocre platform has become some sort of awkward annoying experience that will stay with me. I know it's not my Dualshock 4 either as it works fine with other games, but there were times where the controls would be reverse just in the middle of playing like fine one second then reverse. There were also times where the jump had a 3 second delay but only sometimes. Other times, Flynn just wouldn't jump at all which was really annoying expecially during boss fights.
This is just one of those games I stuck through it even though it really wasn't worth my time. Speaking of worth people's time, this game isn't... worth your time. I cannot recommend it even if the Bad and Ugly were away then it would just be forgettable.

While this game has good ideas, such as the final boss, the execution is horrible and the game suffers from many bugs that give a frustating experience.
