Mastering Fortnite Battle Royale’s many systems is worth every second of investment. Whether you go it alone or queue up with a squad, even if you’re the first to die or you actually manage to earn the Victory Royale, Fortnite’s zany style and unique blend of shooting and building almost never offers anything less than an outstanding time. It may not be the first battle royale game, and it certainly won’t be the last, but Fortnite sets itself apart from the crowd by giving you the freedom and tools to express your own personal playstyle.

This battle royale mixes gun play and construction that is so fun, the end does not look anywhere in sight. The exciting game is so popular and is even bringing people together. Playing with your friends is one of the most satisfying co-op experiences you will have. Fortnite: Battle Royale is a great play for anyone.

If grinding for loot, shooting zombies, and building the coolest forts ever sounds like it’s up your alley, I can’t recommend Fortnite enough.

Fortnite incorporates mechanics of survival, crafting and missions in waves. Everything is very well measured and addictive, but there are no surprises or innovation. The microtransactions come to break the balance, and you'll have to play too many hours to see your character really improve. It's better that you wait for the free-to-play version.

Fortnite's polished gameplay and visual charm stands out from the hordes of other zombie games that have arrived in the past few years. When it hits free-to-play in 2018 it's going to be a compelling product for anyone who enjoys cooperative games. For now it's held back by an invasive microtransaction model and design imperfections that keep it from being another trophy for Epic Games.

The ultimate effort of the US home team is to combine the excellent experience of the third-person shooter with foundational elements of some of the most successful works of the last few years, in an effective and convincing manner, at least from the gambling point of view.

Fortnite: Battle Royale is a fast-paced arcade alternative to PUBG, but it fails in the tension department. Its good fun when you play like you don’t only have one life, but that in and of itself makes it feel like an oddity that hasn’t quite found its identity yet.

It is fun to play alone but even greater when playing with friends. To be able to win you have to demonstrate cohesiveness and teamwork, which are very important skills to have. This game also has insane replay-ability with the all consuming desire for a "victory royale"! The only reason I did not give this a 10 is because as fun as it is it can be very frustrating. And not because you don't always win (that's a given), it's because it can at times be very unbalanced or feel broken. When the game doesn't work right and it results in your death that can be very infuriating. Nevertheless this game is an incredible play and deserves all the hype it's been getting. Expand

Can't give this game higher because it does need some work and love from the developers and i am sure they will improve on the game. I wouldCan't give this game higher because it does need some work and love from the developers and i am sure they will improve on the game. I would not reccomend buying this game atm. Wait a couple of weeks/months and then come back to this game and give it another look. Personally i have enjoyed this game so far tho.

    The good:
The Game is fun to play and amazing if you have a group of friends. Building forts is just straight up fun.

    The bad :
Gameplay is a bit repetitive especially if you play it solo.
Some loot and progress problems, not that bad as some people suggest but definitly needs some work.
The grind is real and there should be more ways to earn schematics

Unfortunately, it's drowned in a lake of microtransactions; surrounded by a toxic community and covered in boring and repetitive gameplay. But that's just the Battle Royale mode (literally made to try and challenge H1Z1 and Player Unknown's Battleground).
As for the other mode, Save the World - my God, is it the game's saviour. Right now, it's unfortunately not free-to-play (and probably never will be, at the rate Epic is going with the game). It's not worth the money at the moment, but it's a much more fun way of playing the game. Effortlessly gunning down zombies will always be superior than murdering other players.

What does Fortnite offer that is particularly special? Nothing really.

Gunplay: no different than any other 3rd person shooter.

Building: i hate the building more than anything. It supposed to give the game its flair but all it ends up being is button mashing. OH **** I'M BEING SHOT AT? SPAM BUILDING. it become less about skill, and more about spamming ramps and walls. Oh, and by the way... FORTnite...FORT... fort are useless in this game; the most that anyone does is a tall rectangle. That's it.

Graphics: Subpar at best. Character polygons are CLEARLY visible, and graphical glitches occur often. That said, it is fairly nice looking of a game.

Micro Transactions: Tis a sad day in gaming where we must deal with micro transactions. It's there, and they suck.... highly overpriced skins that give disadvantages.

Let me say this: I do NOT play PUBG and i'm NOT just a buttsore noob. I've played a coupled hundred match and won a decent amount.

    Verdict: 2/10
    Average gunplay
    Horrid building
    Subpar graphics
    Cruddy microtransactions
    WAY to overhyped
